The same could be said for us a number of times in recent years & as recent as last Sunday when we missed a number of shots on goal (Gibbons had 2 posters, Ed missed a snap he would normally nail, Harry missed one). It is the nature of the beast. Missed shots on goal can be momentum killers, so if this happens, it is your own bad luck & ultimately shouldn't detract from the winning team, who have better capitalised on their opportunities.
Indeed, as the old saying goes “bad kicking is bad footy” - a cliche ... because it’s true ... which is also a cliche.

Agree with Charlie and Setters playing VFL and earning it rather than being automatic ins.
Boy who would have thought many of us would be saying that about Charlie right now and picking big Cas over him!

I'd have Cunners come straight in for Polson though.

Curnow has been playing injured from bone bruising and was left out of the team as he recieved a significant knock on the same part which was already bruised and was causing significant pain.

He was not dropped. Not sure how people are not getting this - Bolts stated as much during his presser.

Polson is getting a game - would sooner have Curnow as a small forward or running outside winger than Polson.

.

Polson's role is to harass and pressure, which he didn't do well enough. If he was supposed to tag JJ, he didn't do a great job. JJ played his best game of the season. I'm not sure what other role he possibly could've played. Think L'Ob was a run with job on the wing and defensively was really good. Needs a bit more of the ball getting but that'll come. His fumble fit on the wing was funny :'), happens to everyone at some stage or another.
JJ’s run and carry was fantastic by my oh my did he have about 3 or 4 awful shank kicks on the run which either resulted in a 50/50 or turnover.

Bevo interviewed after the first quarter, said they'd need to look at clamping down on Crippa and SPS. Proceeded to do nothing of the sort.
He was arrogant in that interview. Over rates his side big time. Acted like he just needed to clean a couple of things up and “we should be in front at half time.” EAD Bevo you flog.

Curnow playing in the magoos? No. Just no.

Why? Harry did his time there. Charlie has looked "off" this season, and injury has exacerbated it. Boys coming off a big win, Harry + Gov + Levi worked. Give Charlie a run in the 2s to a) find some touch, and b) build some hunger. Reckon a reminder that he's not a walk up start will light a fire under him and bring out his best.

If Charlie fit, have to play him. Perfect time to bring him back after yesterday’s win and have him play in a team that’s playing confident. Question is, who makes way? May need to make a tough call on one of the other talls, but not Harry though.

If Cuners fit, then be great to see him back in.

Don’t subscribe to the “don’t change a winning team” thing. Teams that win regularly make changes from week to week. Got to get your best onto the park. Also, don’t see why a player not performing should get gifted a game simply because his teammates played well, especially when there’s other players pushing for selection.

Your last statement is not true im afraid, i pay $33 per month for my Foxtel subscription, as far as im aware Kayo is $25 a month then goes to $28.

For the extra $5-$8 per month we get quite a few channels and options.

Anyone wanna do us a solid and put together a gif of the centre clearance in the third quarter, about 15min on the clock? The one where Fisher made a few Doggies players look like they were stuck in quicksand.

Oh yes that was tasty

Just watched the incident where Libba threw himself to the ground after light high contact with Newman. Newman did everything he could to avoid contact, but Libba threw himself down. And then after he kicks the goal, he goes up to have a go at Newman and realises that he bit off more than he could chew!

Libba is just as bigger flog as his old man.

17:01 in the second quarter - it came up in the replay JUST as I saw this post - holy smoke. That is sooo bad.

Was there yesterday, absolutely destroyed the Doggies in clearances, Harry McKay came of age although I was wondering were the Doggies short on tall defenders with the matchups that were being used? Not having a go at Harry, just curious so that we hope that isn't a one-off performance. SPS was just ridiculous early and thankfully the Doggies inaccuracy was also helpful.

On a more personal note, had great seats from a friend of mine and didn't get kicked out for the funny shirt I had made and bumped into Setterfield by chance to make it funnier again. I'll get a photo up here soon.
