this is maddison here and i hardly even think i will play senior football next year at kilmore i had nothing to do with the post by vantheman and thanks for your input doona although im 6'1 now so i dont see any more growth spurts coming netime soon. i had nothing to do with the posts.

I realised that straight away buddy, it will take time to get used to a 6'1 frame mate so dont let vantheman place too much pressure you!!!

Bit tough on Madison placing that sort of pressure on him, seeing as though he will only be a first year Under 18 next season... Maybe he should be able to concentrate on that first, has plenty of time for senior football.

While I do agree that Kilmore are looking like likely improvers next season, I dont think they will be the only ones... Next season is already starting to shape up as a cracker with many sides improving thier lists and a couple of the stronger sides losing some key players.. The next couple of months are going to be very interesting for the RDFL, the league is really picking up... Hopefully we can include another one or two more clubs. Would only strengthen the leagues position I think.

Roge_3 - Where do you think the comp can pick up a couple extra teams ? Maybe B/Marsh as mentioned in a earlier thread ? Or Broadford ? Or Caroline Springs when they get a senior side together ? Anyone got any thoughts ?

broadford look like they have become quite comfortable in the heathcote league after sorting out alot of problems, i really cant see them moving across from what i have heard trentham are a big chance to move leagues and now we have heard bacchus are also interested i think we should concentrated on them. 2 more sides in the rdfl would be great the distance is not a big problem as clubs can get buses to games as i noticed the kangaroos did a number of times this year.

Bad luck to the boys down at rockbank they tried extremely hard to get luke walker (under contract) from seddon this year and failed. He did not re-sign his contract for next year but unfortunately he will be making a move to strathmore next year, for some good dollars so i have heard

Have heard the Trentham rumour on a few occasions, interesting but unlikely. Never heard the Marsh rumour, that one is a bit of a surprise, but they have struggled of recent.
Would like to see at least 2 more sides in the comp to add strength, hope to see the league maybe pursue teams to join.

Yep, Luke and Ben Goggins from what I have heard will both be heading to Strathmore...

The Bacchus Marsh rumour has been around for a while.Heard it from numerous sources including Bacchus Marsh players.I actually thought we would have heard something about it by now though so could just be a very well made up rumour.Amazing how many different people have said it to me though.

Broadford are no hope of ever returning to the RDFL.

The only reason I reckon the Marsh would leave the BFL if they struggle to competitive again this season. I saw on The Courier web site a while back that they were looking at a ex AFL player as a coach.

I would be very surprised to see any new clubs come into our league in the near future. Although it would be good for the strength of the competition, we need to put the league in a better position both financially and competition wise before any side would want to join.

im not placing any pressure on Maddison... just putting an idea up in the air to stir the pot.. maddison will be concentrating on ACK football next year.. Hede will be 18 and too old for under 18s, would any clubs like a player like him that is (arrogant) and confident.

Arrogance and confidence is fine as long as you can get a kick and back it up. The same can be said about this white football boot craze.

how do you people rate Matthew Robertson do you think its probably to big a call to say that if he had played in a winning team this year that he would have won the league best and fairest.

Was dead keen to get Robbo to Yea when Kilmore didnt know what they were doing, but he wasn't too keen on the travelling side of things - pity premiership player on the old resume would have looked good and upped his worth.

Should have finished alot closer than he did and will be a huge possibility next season if he stays... James had a big season though, would have been tough to beat.. But Matty Robertson is a star.

robbo is a freak footballer and freak sportsperson... has unbelievable talent. in cricket sumtime he just needs a little more application and to show a bit of care

I watched a lot of Kilmore games this season and Robbo was by far the stand out player. The fact that this year has been his first stand out season probably didnt help him get votes, the RDFL umps tend to notice more high profile players, i.e. past winners and blokes that kick 100 goals. Maybe next season will see Robbo get more votes, now everyone knows who he is.

I have it on good authority Kilmore will get back Strainey and Geoff Still next year, plus several others. They have a meet the coaches day this Sunday - possibly the earliest meet the coaches day in Victorian country football??
