who are you?, obviously u can't be that good, after rupos convincing win against old carey in a top of the table clash they must be really missing your input and presence around the place. Enjoy yourself at a second rate club in a second rate league, and let the woodsmen enjoy what seems to be a solid start to the season.
yet another person kocking the league, go to your own thread, cant use handle cetain players leaving, whats the point of knocking a league u dont play in?, well done on rupo mate good on ya but this isnt rupo's league, so go brag about em somewhere else!

Heres a fact for you all. Next year Gisborne will return to the RDFL allbeit an Under 18s team. Either the Gisborne Football Club or the Gisborne Rookies Football Club will field an U18 team in the RFDL. Gisborne is in a lucky position that they have a large number of first year under 18 players and they have this years under 16 players comming through next season. A total of nearly 50 Under 18 players in 2007. Cannot fit 50 into 22 so the clubs are in discussion about a new team formation for next year. Watch out other clubs here come the all conquering Bulldogs again

Just put the ammos/rdfl argument on ice.Ignore them or start a different thread for it.

Looks like a race between Woodend,Sunbury,Kilmore and Centrals for the last two spots in the finals?Anyone here think any of those 4 teams can push the 3 power houses for the flag or is it a three way race?

bring on the under 16's, i seem to recall last years grand final mate, gisborne under 15's(who are the 16's this year) versus the roos. before making statements about next year lets get back to this year boys, who will make the finals????

Comments on woolcok are a bit off, he is a good player but has a country mile to travel before he is up to senior standrds. He isnt a bootlace on cam watson. From what i see of him he sits on the wing trying to be a looseman not following his man and hanging out for an easy possession, not slaggin him off too much, he is a good young ruckman but i believe he needs a kick up the bum and needs to realise that it is a different game in seniors and needs to learn a time to get a kick and when to do the team thing and watch the other ruckmen. He is getting in the best himself but the opposition ruckmen is playing just aswell when he is. Man up young scotty and stop getting the easy kick

Your a joke! Kid's 19 playing aganst blokes and getting best on ground's, as far as out hanging on a wing, watching wrong game mate. Believe it's more pusing forward and kicking goals. Just like to know which ruckman is leading the goal kicking in league. I thought so! If your from the vafa, why weren't you playing, good to criticise when your no expert or even a player!

Correct in some sense.. Defensively, could use some work, but hey, what player doesn't need work in some area.. Young Scott and Cam will be an awesome combination in this comp.. Cam needs work on becoming a more offensive weapon, so same same, have to look at who the opposing ruck is at the time. On Saturday young Beall from Woodend was not damaging enough to hurt Scott, but Scott certainly was to he and Woodend.. IMO was best on ground on Saturday.. Played a fantastic game.. Improvements will come from Scott, dont worry about that, he is still only learning senior football.. Will be an extremely dangerous player come years end, Saturday was only the start...:thumbsu:

I'll you'll notice when he is sitting in the middle of the ground as you say he does, his opponent will probably in the kangas forward line, so if his opponent gets a kick he would have to kick somewher in scottys direction, ill think you'll find he is quite a smart footballer who has the ability to change games, especially from the centre, i'd like to see what the mcinearneys and the other onballers think and ne midfielders he's fed in previous years, not saying he's it and abit, but from what ive seen is one of the best youngsters in the ruck department vwith great tapping skills

I think you have been watching the wrong game buddy, the games i have seen him play he is always running away from a contest and trying to get into space for the easy touch when a ruckmen should be the one in the air creating some contests. He might drift forward and kick goals mate but from what i hear he nevers runs the other way and drops back to help his defenders. Your a fool if you think he is good just because he is leading goal kicker fo the league, give me a ruckmen who wants to play for his team and support the mates around him and not worrying about him kicking goals. Cam watson is the best down there the sooner he is back and fit the better for the roos, he knows how to play the position and do the right things for his fellow players.

Zippa...pipe down and talk your sh1t elsewhere.:thumbsdown::thumbsdown::thumbsdown:

dont u just love it when you have people from other leagues talken about players in this league, from what ive seen scotty is young and capable still of becoming anything he wants to be, much like anyone else in the league, so what the point of pointing out scotty, why not anyone else?

Some good games this week...

Woodend Vs Romsey, key match for both sides.. Woodend struggled a bit on the weekend when Cuinik was shut down.. He is a bit of a key for the Hawks, Lacy looked like he could be dangerous, but never really showed it in the end..

The Redbacks are a pretty good side, McClellan is still dominating, good to see Al Meldrum have a good one on the weekend too..

Think Romsey should get home though...

Lancefield Vs Kilmore is going to be another one that draws some attention.. I thought Kilmore could upset Centrals last week and did so, quite comfortably.. This week I think we could see another upset, the Blues are playing well at home, but seem to have problems travelling.. The Tigers are keen for a win, I think they can get up in this one, providing that Scooter plays...

Well its good to see everyone has an opinion, think for those who know scott you would know that he is a very team orientated player, with only 7 games at a new club it seems people have jumped on his back pretty quick, the kid still has alot to learn and he konws that but playing for himself i very much doubt.... he is a very different style of ruckman to cam watson but the duo seem to be helping the roos win games at the moment so what Dixon is doing is obviously working.. I havent seen a oppostion ruckman dominate him yet and his forward movements have not only help his team put scores on the board but made his opponent go defensive in their style of play.. it is good to see that this thread is getting away from the rupo v lions v rdfl.. and is actually talking bout things and players to do with the rdfl

keep up the good posts boys

oh yeh a stop ur bitching

Kanga Kid............interesting comment you make and a hole lot of truth to it, but lets put the Gisborne U18 against your clubs team, and this includes the players who played in that loosing GF, I think the young bulldogs of today will nail your mob by at least 30 goals, just like they did in the past. The gap between the 2 clubs and leagues is huge, and players who are trained professionally and brought up in a strong club enviroment with lots of success develop quicker and better than those stuck in the district comps. thats why the best players go to Gisborne and Sunbury, for success and the opportunity to play against the best players in county victoria

yes fair point GREENMAN, but alot of those players go their to to become a senior player who gets paid, what kid doesnt wanna get paid when they are older to play football. and trust me the best players dont go to gisborne and sunbury for the success, otherwise that premiership side that knocked off gisborne last year wouldnt stick around with the roos, ohh and gisborne knocking off riddell, good luck

Ok, i am a mutual spectator between the rdfl and bfl so i rarely take sides. But when i read "ohh and gisborne knocking of riddell, good luck" it made me feel sick!!! Following this feeling of sickness was anger and eventually sorrow (for you). so from now on kangakid post your threads about how good your mates are at the kangaroos then shut up! U honestly have no idea...riddell aren't as good as you think trust me

Another quality post OldMelb...

READ THE THREAD BEFORE YOU COMMENT... Just a little advice.. These 2 guys were talking about a SECONDARY Gisborne Under 18 side coming into the competition next season IN THE UNDER 18's COMP... Riddell, if you, as you say are a "mutual" supporter have a great Under 18's side running around at present, a side that took apart all of the wonderful Gisborne and Sunbury teams 2 years ago in the Under 16 competition and have continued to do so (as they should have) in the RDFL comp last year and the beginning of this year...
So, in closing, once again, GO BACK TO THE THREAD YOU BELONG IN, leave people in here, that actually know what they are talking about to do so.

Gisborne u18s beat Riddell by 12 goals in a practice match last year

Ok boys, its time to start submitting your tips for the weekends matches. Mine will be in thursday night after a recieve my mail.

On another note, and ths may seem out of context:

Diggers Rest will take out the rdfl grand final this year.

big call

Strong contenders i agree strongly, but i still think you can't right of Romsey and Riddell. They are extremly strong, the other two teams to be there come the end of year will be Woodend (there strong enough to rebound back and fight) and the Kangaroos. I think the 3,4,5,6 will be based upon maybe a game between top 5 and %. It a good year with 6 just one win of 2nd so it's going to be good second half year to break a gap or take a lead.
