Whenever "the tolerant left" is evoked like some exasperated lament, you fail to realise that there's a difference between accepting people for who they inherently are, as opposed to what they choose to be - which is typically informed from ignorance.
Some things shouldn't be tolerated, and the right are so extreme these days that it isn't an uncommon experience to be met with a forceful rebuke.

This is the modern MO though
They claim that the left/center are made up of liberal snowflakes whilst also getting triggered anytime anyone on the left makes a slightly edgy comment. Their defence of comedy and free speech is only limited to people they agree with and their ability to say slurs or dunk on LGBT/brown people. They defend the right to make edgy politically charged comments but the second they see someone's pronouns in an email signature they have an aneurysm.
HoneyBadger's post wasn't even that bad but still managed to trigger a few.
As someone who escaped the right pipeline, once you recognise this you start seeing it everywhere and it becomes impossible to ignore

I liked how the usual idiots tried to link Ozzy’s death to the vaccines.
Quite apart from the fact that he was diagnosed prior to Covid, surely he’d already exceeded his expected life span by about 49 years.
