Indeed, but then it's mine forever and if I don't have $30 next month to buy a new CD I can still listen to it.
By "innovations" I assume expanding on their AI.
Apple music has better sound quality, pays artists more, and the library still has rips from iTunes back in the day. I have some compilations available that aren't otherwise on streaming platforms.

I looked into both Tidal and Apple Music, but neither one was completely compatible with how I want to use them with my Alexa devices (yes, yes, evil everywhere, I know...).
Tidal doesn't integrate with Alexa in Australia for some idiotic reason, and Apple Music absolutely insisted it would only ever play a custom mix for me, no matter how often I told it to just play my favourited songs.
Spotify may be evil, but it likes me.

I would have replied and liked this post sooner.
But I was just flat out. You know how it is?
In all seriousness I use this excuse on weekends regularly but It’s purely cause I can’t be ****ed. I work in hospo and my social battery is absolutely flat by the end of the week and and unless it’s close family or friends, I have no desire to go meet people.

As someone who had Apple music from day 1 until recently, don't do it. The user interface is awful, laggy, there are minimal to no user submitted playlists, just Apple's own.

Kinda embarrassing but I’ve been so out of the loop regarding world news since I delted Socials and only got reddit recently and didn’t realise what the situation in America was like.
