You know, I hadn’t really considered how weird of a thing to say that was, especially to people that do not share gen z humour

To be honest I don't think it's a matter of the humour fitting a certain generation, more that it was gratuitous and nonsensical.

I just Googled his songs and the only one I knew was a cover (of Wonderwall) and I never want to hear his version.

Sorry for coming to this late, but he also did a Springsteen-esque cover of Taylor Swift's 1989 album in full. His version of Wildest Dreams and Shake it Off are great. But that was before all the domestic violence allegations came out from Mandy Moore and Phoebe Bridgers. Bridgers song motion sickness is about him.

The guy is a complete piece of shit and leaves it out there for everybody to see - but people still forgive him and make excuses for him because they somehow manage to separate the art from the artist.

Mixed feelings on the gen z stare as one myself. I like the idea of it but it’s just as cringe as the millennial pause for example. I do appreciate its use to disincentivise treating young people in the work place poorly, but I feel like it’s just as if not more reasonable to just tell someone to **** off

Yeah I think my grandparents may have but I’ve never used one before. I was getting into music right around the time that the original iPod Shuffle dropped.

I only clocked that naming my BF the exact same as my social media was a terrible idea yesterday. Given the fact afaik you can’t change it
