If I was a neutral picking a team, I would probably pick either Spurs or Newcastle
However, the team to pick a few years ago as a fun, exciting, top 6ish team were Aston Villa, and since then they have sold their best players (Barry, Young, Milner) had their players go to shit (Carew, Freidel) and are now a horrible team to watch.
So if you pick say, Newcastle, there is nothing stopping them selling Ba, Cisse, Cabaye etc... and then falling to shit within three years
