19 years old, on debut, his team is getting completely thrashed and yet he scores a ton. Out of about 150. You've gotta be impressed.
Then the stupid review system (the middle of the ball didn't even hit the stumps) cuts him down.

Works in reverse, the replay has to prove 100% that the ump got it wrong and it actually was definitey out. You'd think that "the benefit of the doubt" rule would mean that there would be more of these, but doesn't look to be the case so far.
Sadly I think the appeal is just going to be used by every batsman who doesn't like getting out LBW
The review system is iffy.
If the batting side appeals the given LBW decision, the impact must be inline (along with the pitch of the ball), and as long as the ball hits the stumps, the decision is upheld.
While if the bowling side appeals a LBW decision they deem was out, the whole of the ball must be hitting the stumps along with the impact and the pitch of the ball being inline of the stumps, otherwise the decision remains not out.

It recognises that the technology isn't perfect, and if it looks borderline on the replay they leave the decision to the umpire who sticks with his original decision.

True, the system is all about eliminating the obvious errors thus the 3rd umpire cannot give answers based on likelihoods or probabilities to the on-field umpire.
