pascoe vale heading into a massive game this week against roxy, Pascoe vale do have still a few players out, should be a very close game, closer than you would expect, any players to look out for in both sides?

i was at this game watching. Roxy got up by 4 points. Pascoe vale had the early lead in the first qtr by 4 goals,
Pascoe vale gave away 3 50m penalties that awarded in goals and from not supporting any team in this competition i honestly rekon it was the worst umpiring i have seen in a very long time. Pascoe vale very unlucky to lose as they only played 1 good qtr of footy. And were still missing 5 good players
 
roxy deserved the win as they are a strong side and never give up! they also had a few good players out so that cancells out that excuse for pacco. roxy having a decent run home too could see them sneak in
 
A couple of teams have beaten KP by 40 goals, but Haddy still the benchmark by a long way. Lets see if Jacana can get anywhere near them this week. The two biggest games of the round are APW V MV and TL v PV. TL and PV are playing to keep a finals spot alive, the loser could drop 3 games behind the five and you would think that would be hard to catch up. The winner of APW and MV get that bit closer to the double chance and with APW having a slightly better run home could put them in a good position. It would seem Haddy as a given for minor (maybe major) premiers and the next three to be between APW, MV and Tulla. Jacs have one hand on fifth but have to play PV, TL & NS all who want their spot and Haddy and MV who don't want to give anything up.
I hope the battle for finals spot stay open and keeps it interesting. Could be a great finals series..

yeah they have been a couple of teams that have beaten kp by 40goals buh haddy played with 19 players and 3 of them were under 16's? it shows how good they really are, a poor 3rd quater letting them down only kicked 4goals or somewhat then blazing away in teh last kicking 13. missing some players due to work and injuries and also still have the 3 playing seniors, it shows how much depth they really have! espically with 3 under 16 players kicking bags between them of 8, 5 and 4. haddy with a tough slog over the next few weeks with jacana, mv, tulla and apw will really test them and see if they can hold it together or will there cockiness get the better of them?

i rekon they will beat jacana mv and apw buh the big test will be tulla, i honestly rekon tulla can get over the top if they get some big names back in ronaldon, gianchiano etc and if sinnot and ramsay some down from the seniors for that game.

Everyone keeps banging on about Haddys depth, having two teams etc etc, so why play three U16s against crap opposition. Why not test some of your C grade players to see if they could fit into the team in case you get injuries. Maybe the U16 will be the ones that come in if their Seniors make the finals and the U18 don't drop back? Here's a question for the clubs with boys playing seniors, if both sides are in the finals who do they play for?? Haddy are red hot favorites for the flag but their seniors are unlikely to go too far if they make it. What do they do, guarantee a flag or give the seniors the best chance and risk a loss.

yeahh everyone bangs on about haddy depth because they do have it! and there is no denying that. they only played the under 16s because they were short as players as were the c;s beause of work commitments and injuries etc. many of the c grade players have been tested through out the year and more than capable to play b;s buh c grade had a must win game to secure there spot for finals. your question about seniors? the blokes that play will most likely be given the decision wether to stay or go, haddy seniors have the potential to go all teh way, they have finally started to bond well after alot of recruiting and if they can pull 4 quaters together they are very very hard to beat. so we will just have to wait and see when it comes to finals aye? i honestly rekon te boys will stay in seniors.
 
Depth SHOULD see hadfield over the line this year. Has done nothing for them in the last two years but.
Tullamarine would be extremely dangerous with their full list playing but as their seniors should play finals i dont think their 18's will reach full potential this season.
MV.. i dont think they've played their best football yet. Have been beaten by your jacana and NS type teams.

This weeks games... I think MV will down APW by a short margin. Can APW bounce back after a loss?... Will just be an interesting result all the more. And a running game. CBF.

TL vs PV will be a cracker. Ill say PV in a nail biter after suffering a harsh loss against Roxy in round 9.
Having the week off I myself might head over and watch Hadfield vs Jacas, An average jacana side last year lost to the eventual runners-up by 2 points. On paper this looks to be an alright game. A game of discipline though and Hadfield should win at home by about 10 goals... You'd think.

Mate, ease back on the Kool Aid.

Haddy started the Round on top, same points and 70% ahead of Keilor, 8 points and atleast 135% ahead of the other 3 sides.
The 50 point win against Greenvale was way better than it looks on the scoreboard, the whole ground was a bog.

So with only 4 games to go (Haddy have 2 byes in the last 6 rounds), I would agree - finals spot is secure. Just not so sure it was a must win game. :footy:

You are kidding yourself. TL will not win the U18 this year. If results don't go their way they may not even make the five. They won't get their players back from the seniors because they are a very good chance of being in the GF and they are not good enough to match it with full strength Haddy or MV. There'll be no singing in the goalsquare this year boys!!!!

Good to see sharks get up, not as terrible as their ladder position suggests.

Yeh given the day teams like jacana will knock off top sides.
With another bye, jacana are big finals contenders. Big surprise.


Best in league chances: Tydell /DiGuiseppe (PV), Larson /Ronaldson (even though he hasnt played many games) (Tul), Mcveigh (APW), Abdulrahim always polls well (Had), Johnson (NS), Belal (Rox) will finish strong, Lumo twins (MV) will poll a few. Newell should poll a few as well.

With alotta blokes in and out of seniors (schepis, stevie g, sinnot etc) the race will even up a bit. But still plentyyyyyy of football to be played

Loving the upsets this round.
 
great round of footy, second half of the season really shaping up
this win for jacana to give them an advantage to make it in the finals! make it alot more difficult for pacco, roxy, ns

mv beating apw? apw couldnt handle the bigger bodies of mv or what? anyone know about this game

heard alot of news and alot of stories from the hadfield game and mostly having the same story? umpires cruicifing hadfield all game with very bad decisions espically having a young umpire who was inexperienced! at the end of the day hadfield allowed jacana to be with them all day and was some undisciplined acts from some players buh at the end of teh day was the umpires costing them in the last 20secs with a free kick by a haddy player selling candy to jacana player and loosing the ball for a second then re catching it and getting done for throwing apparently. then threw the ball up a tad high and was penalized for time wasting which resulted in a 50m penalty to the goal score then player was told to back off and walk off backwards buh apparently didnt go back quick enough which resulted in another free kick so 2 goals with them 10points behind and siren going giving jacana the game.

at the end of the day, thats the results and cant do much about it, jacana have now beaten some big sides in tulla, mv and now haddy.

jacana the dark horse of the comp?

should be a cracking few weeks of footy coming up :thumbsu:

i believe haddy will beat mv this week buh tulla will get the best of them in the week after if they get numbers back from seniors, should be interesting :)
