TL can still get in with 2 - 1 even if Roxy go 3 - 0 due Roxy's bad % and TL V WM and Glenroy to boost theirs. It will all depend Pv v APW next week. Can TL win it ......maybe but not without their senior players I think. Haddy still a nose in front for mine. Their senior probably won't make it and will have a full squad.

yeah big all in brawls in the last quarter slowed the game up and sent about 4 mv players off which saved pacco a bit otherwise it would of easily been over 100.

will be tighter than a nuns nasty in the race to the finals. good luck to all teams competing for 3rd 4th and 5th spot.
 
NS pushed MV all day, 8 points in it with 10 minutes to play but ran out of players with injury. MV need to lift before finals, fair poor effort from a top 2 side.
Taylors Lakes home for finals and a big darky with their full side in. can play in a final as well.
 
The final five is set and unlikely to change order. Roxy kept coming at Tulla all day and in the end just couldn't bridge the gap. Haddy beating TL is a big result as TL had both Younan and Xuerub in the team and Haddys gun 18's played seniors, will have to put Haddy a nose in front for the flag if their seniors don't make it or go out early. Only game of any interest this week is MV v Tulla to give MV one last test before the finals.

Going to be a great finals series with a very even spread. MV and Haddy maybe just a nose in front of APW and Tulla if they can get past TL in the first week.

yeah very good effort from the saints, unlucky they didnt make the finals cos they have some quality players. Taylors lakes seem the dark horse but with their seniors looking flag favourites do the 18s players come down n try help win back-to-back grannys or do the seniors do what they have to do and keep their gun 18s in the 1s to try and go to a grade next year? Haddy lucky to win on the weekend, will be good to see the tulla mv game this weekend will be battle of the forwards as larsen and newell both will be wanting to take out the goalkicking award.
final 5 doesnt look like it will change so the 1st week of finals should pan out with MV vs APW and TL vs TULLA.
u wold think all teams in the 5 would be wanting to rest their better players with the exception of mv and tulla, however unless tulla absolutely pump moonee valley the ladder will not change so they both may rest a few players who knows.
 
Who have haddy got to come in, Stevie G, Soncin two massive ins.....who else?? Agree though that was a full strength TL but don't forget Haddy jumping up and down after last years Prelim because they had beaten them three times by nearly 10 goals each time....

Yeh i recall Haddy polishing TL last year in the qualifying final by 13 goals only to put in a shit effort come the big day.

Hadfield will win the flag if their bigger bodies are first to the footy more often. Gillis is their most important player and will be come finals. smart off half back and a fair contested grab.

APW is actually the best side ive played against this year. They're a unit who play for each other. Although they dont play the hardest brand they're a good modern footy side. Very fit and professional. Although crumbling in straight sets last year, they are a very different side.

I dont think TULLA will get past prelims with their 4th position and no double chance.

MV need to start playing their full side in come the qualifying finals to get their bonds right etc. Are a good side but will need to unify come finals.

And finally TL who have 2 or 3 of the leauges best players will need to find something out of the 5 or so blokes they will miss from last years granny. If they do get to the granny they will be dangerous.

As for the next 4 who got close -
PV are a side capable of big things but let their percentage slide too much.
ROXY were very competitive against the top 5 and are very hard to beat at home.
JAC when they're on can spoil any side in the comp. beat MV and TULLA.
NS toppled MV away but battled with depth and discipline all year.

Shame there only looks to be two close games this week before finals.
MV should be able to account for tulla by a few goals.
Jacana vs NS should be an interesting one. anything can happen there.

we played close to the best we had all year after losing to haddy the week before

against paco we were behind by 5 goals at one stage and got up in the last quarter.. thats about the only time we have done it

This will be a great match to watch on the big open spaces of highgate. Two sides that like to play a running game with MV having the big targets of Newell, Considine and Obrien up forward and APW with Penaluna and Russel. Klix v Schepis will be a great battle in the middle as well. What happened to Vitacca, haven't seen him on a list for a while, as he is very hard to match up on. APW have some very good small on ballers/forwards in McVeigh and young Iles but will they be able to get enough supply in to let them kick goals.

If APW can make the most of the wide open space they will get first shot at Haddy but MV could very well go out in straight sets if they don't win this week. TL seniors have the week off whilst Tulla's seniors are playing so your would expect Younan and Xuerub to be the difference. I think either team at full strength will beat MV and APW but both could struggle against a full strength Haddy outfit. Should be a great finals series and whoever wins it will have earnt it thats for sure.

should be a cracker of games this weekend, i believe mv will get up and over apw just because they have bigger targets and are harder at it than apw. but dont be suprised if apw get up and cause an upset because highgate is huge and your right, if they make the most of the space they will run mv off there feet. apw by far the fittest and quickest team in the comp and play a very good brand of modern day footy. they play for eachother and the play for the jumper, there is no individuals in the team.

regards to the tl vs tulla match, tulla will get done as tl will have a full strength side and tl is tullas hodo team, always loose to them. tulla seniors cant afford to drop sinnot and ramsay to play 18s, but we will see what happens aye.

depending on how haddy seniors go this week, they might not be at full strength next week with the likes of soncin, stevie gee and possibly wallace as he played a very solid game agaisnt westy last week so will be playing seniors again this week i presume. some bad news i heard down at haddy with apparently 2-3players being reported? can anyone confirm this and wether they got weeks?
 
apw coming off a break should be fresh.. i reckon theyl get up by a few goals. if mv played like they did a few weeks ago apw will get up.. looking hungry

haddy will be trying to prepare like they never have before to wash away their loses from 08 and 09.

taylors lakes with xuereb and younan are 8 goals better. I think theyl polish tullamarines wide game in the mud of sewell.

apw mv gonna b a cracker! still think mv will come out 5 goals or so winners.

taylors lakes should prove far too good for tulla, i reckon 5 goal winners also.
 
See a Haddy boy got off a kicking charge at the tribunal this week. Must have been a nervous wait this close to finals. Anyone see the incident as it seems the Umpires have gone report happy the last two weeks. Thanks to MV and Pacco I believe.

I reckon MV to just get over APW because they wont be able to stop Newell, Considine and O'brien up forward. In the other game Tulla to upset TL by a very small margin. I think whoever wins this game can make it to the GF...
