Let's hope all those MCC seats are taken so 100,001 people at the G see the Tigers trounce the overrated Blues with the rest of the country watching it on tv :thumbsu:

You might want to bring the digital camera for this match since we may never have a crowd this big for a long time.
Just remember the last time we cracked the 80k +

Hopefully a sea of yellow and black on the Great Southern Stand :thumbsu:

It will be 83-85k tomorrow and if we get into the 8 and stay there all season you can expect 70k+ games against Hawks, Saints, Pies (and Blues again).

So use tomorrow night as a dry run.....

I think the crowd will be around 89-91k. But like mentioned above, weather is a massive factor. Predicted temp is 15-22, with possible showers. :S

Hopefully the rain comes early tomorrow or not at all...

First post here with a weather forecast.... hehe

Thursday: Partly cloudy. Isolated showers developing during the morning before clearing later in the day. Light winds tending northwest to 25 km/h around dawn before tending southwesterly up to 35 km/h by the afternoon.

Looking like it'll be clear & cool. Perfect for a huge crowd!

92,436 Collingwood R4 1977 @ MCG could realistically be surpassed tomorrow evening at the home of footy!!!

:eek::eek::eek:

I just looked at the number 77' and just realised that this was the first Richmond game I ever went to.

My old man took me and I sat inbetween the seats in the walkway steps up the top of the old Northern Stand.

We got beat badly if I remember.

Another thing I remember was a bloodnut Tiger supporter with a steel bucket and spade holding it up in the air.:D

Gees,it just all came back to me.

Wasn't a good first experience but I never forgot the crowd and the atmosphere there.

Anyone remember that game in 1982 against the Bombers?

That was a 90 thou crowd.

We kicked ten in the last and romped home.

That game was a ripper.

Ahhh the good old days:)

85,673 is the current Richmond VS Carlton record. Surely that will go tonight.

90,508 is Essendon's record home crowd. That could be broken.
91,571 is Carlton's. That could go.

Collingwood's is 94,824. Could we possibly break that? Couold we havethe biggest ever Big 4 home crowd?
