Doctor’s office in Valentine

Early in chapter 2 I peaked through the window and saw a dude at a desk. Then I went to the door and was told to go away. Up to chapter 3 and I still can’t work out a way in. I know that some shops have some shady business out of the back at night (sounds like the gun shop is sharpening blades upstairs at night!) but I can’t work out what to do with this one.

Someone feel free to fill me in, I don’t care about spoilers for this particular thing. I’m too curious now and I just want a way in.

You need to go and hold up the Doctor through the front door. Press up and tell him to take you to the BACK room. Inside you'll get cash plush a Schofield Revolver.

Afterwards, RUN LIKE HELL!

Does anyone else try to keep regular hours by sleeping every night?

I try to keep everything routine. Eating, sleeping, drinking, bathing. Sometimes work throughout the night, but that does effect the cores so then I go have full day sleeps.

Came across a blind bloke begging for money and gave him a couple of bucks, as I was about to ride off, I thought id whip out the bow to see if he's legit, sure enough he was, but unfortunately let go and and arrow got him between the eyes.....As to not make a waste of the situation, naturally looted his corpse. :D

As i rode off a bloke on a wagon drove by and unfortunately had to eliminate him as a witness.

Another rode by again and did the same. Luckily that was the last of passerbys.

I do feel somewhat remorseful for the sequences of events that unfolded for testing the sincerity of a blind beggar..

My only criticism is I do tend to shoot sometimes instead of feeding the horse and then kill someone.

But maybe that’s more me
Yeah I was trying to diffuse a situation and pulled my gun on someone, I have to keep checking if I've decided to move from bare hands to weapon automatically

another time I was trying to slow down a wagon and accidentally fired my gun (couldn't remember what brake was) luckily I didn't get anyone

Haven't done any digging in the HUD to see if it can automatically display whether you have a weapon selected, that would save me some pain I feel

Was riding along through a forest area last night and got ambushed, got shot off my horse, the blokes ran off into the trees and I went after them, and sure enough it was a trap, fell through the ground into a hole and they came up and started shooting me, took care of them rather easily but the whole thing was pretty awesome.

Also it’s the last time I’m going to offer help to someone who wants a ride into town, did it last night and the guy pulled me off my horse and rode off, went after him and shot him in the back of the head, a few witnesses so had to also take care of them haha.

Ok guys, I've racked up a decent bounty on Valetine of around $280 and can't spend all my time hunting and robbing as the second action keeps upping my bounty.

Is there any way i can reduce my bounty or get rid of it at this amount by say surrendering, or will they just shoot first?

Really want to get rid of this so i can continue through with the missions without being harassed.

This looks amazing but for whatever reason never got around to playing RDR. Is it worth picking up the original (and will it still hold up) before grabbing this?

Bank your cash at your camp and then yes, go to a lawman and surrender and it will remove your bounty, if not remove it, it will greatly reduce the amount owed

First Red Dead was amazing, it still is an amazing game despite the dated graphics compared to today's game, if you can look past that then its definitely worth a play through. It's not essential to have played it though but it makes RDR2 better knowing people that you deal with in the first one.

Although this is a prequel so it isn’t that essential.

I unfortunately never got to play RDR 1 as I was always a PC gamer and we never got the opportunity. Only changed to console for Battlefront 2 to play with my brother. I used to love Red Dead Revolver though!

Oh that has happened to me a number of times. I was riding along some path and this passer by got aggressive with me so I antagonized him ended up having to kill him and witnesses just kept coming that I had to deal with. Killed a few of them then decided to tie one up and put them on the train tracks sadly no achievement ;)

One of the first missions where you get into a bar fight. I must of accidentally pressed the change camera button without realising. It went to first person mode through the whole fight, I just thought it was normal part of the game. But wasn’t till after I realised I changed that. It actually made it much more intense. Recommend every now and then switching to first person mode.

From now if I ever have to do a bar fight or kill an wild animal up close I might use the first person camera angle.

Yeah I love riding the horse in FP ....it’s totally different experience

I find first person great for when you're inside searching areas as then it really ensures you aren't getting mucked around trying to inspect or loot stuff. As you just look exactly at what you want

What a shit game. Theres no point even holding the controller. It's just long stretches of movie/cut scenes, then you get prompted to do something -- search a room for items to store, or to start a gunfight. Then back to long stretches of movie/cut scenes. Rinse and repeat. The movie scenes are very long and long-winded, the prompted moments are short, leading you to another movie scene. I stopped bothering to hold the controller. Started doing other things while waiting for the next prompt.....cutting my toe nails, making the bed, tidying the room, replying to emails and text messages, doing my taxes, etc.

For THOSE types of games, story-based, people who enjoy it. For people who like to actually PLAY a game, who wont enjoy it, early eb games return.

I felt very similar to this for the first 3 or 4 hours. Apart from the visuals, the game has a really poor start. Once it opens up and you start to explore and discover side missions, it gets a lot better. I’m really liking it now.
