Before this gets into a console shit fight. Xbox X is native 4k where PS4 Pro uses a reconstruction technique, likely checkerboarding to take a native 1920x2160 framebuffer up to 4K.

I recommend you get one. Some amazing games this year and RDR2 looks as good as any of them after an hour in.

Looks like god spooged all over my screen. Red dead looks insane.

Just finished Chapter 1 and am in the new camp now for the first time with wayyyyyyyy to much to do and i want to free roam for a while before i start new missions.

My game came with the code for the War horse and other stuff etc and i entered it correctly before i started but where the hell do i get my prized horse?

I still have that Tennessee walker nag they give you for free!

So ****ing pissed and need to vent - monitoring tracking with TOLL all morning only for it to change from in transit to delivery address unattended. Wife home all day, no delivery to the door but found a ‘sorry we missed you’ card in the mailbox. Rang to find out where it was and told it was heading back to the depot - repeatedly stated and was ensured it would be left at the local pick up point and not the depot, only to ring again in the afternoon to be told it was back at the depot and couldn’t be delivered til Monday. ****

Complain online, use social media to highlight their poor performance. Complain to who you purchased it through and ask for a refund. Make life difficult for the campaigners....

My 7 year old TV means none of that stuff matters
Only upgraded to the X for the performance increase, been telling myself I don't need a 4k TV with HDR ever since.
I'm getting less convincing

So is it actually any fun?

Really enjoyed RDR, but that was eight years ago and I was in year ten.

Is there much entertainment value in it first up? All the reviews I've read suggest that the arthouse narrative and graphics are the highlight, but say it's more about reward than fun.

I don't get the feeling that this is going to be the sweet single-player goodness that was The Witcher 3, or Skyrim. It does seem very narrative driven. I imagine like GTA V, how much fun it'll be will be determined once Red Dead Online comes about.

But so far it feels like the Exile on Main Street to RDR1's Sticky Fingers; the Master of Puppets to its Ride the Lightning; the Late Registration to its College Dropout - just a very solid continuation to something already very good.
