The can make you trinkest and talismans out the Legendary skins. The Legendary buck trinket gives better chance of perfect skins.
Yeah, but you don't need to sell the legendary skins/carcasses to the fence to do that though

I can never seem to find a pristine ox.

I WANT TO MAKE MY TENT LOOK NICE DAMMIT!

Almost all the farm animals I find are perfect. :drunk:

Braithwaite Manor is a good place to look though, just drop in after dark. Same goes for the farms on the northern outskirts of St Denis.

Really?? ****!

The trapper buys the pelts, the fence uses the antlers/horn/heart/tooth to craft trinkets. You can have both.

Any of you guys successfully using predator bait and getting pristine animals drawn to it close enough to make a kill? I’m hopeless at this hunting business. Animals seem to always know where i am.

Pretty sure bait is glitched for me, it used to work a treat but now whenever I put some down I get donuts, animals don't even show up and start to approach it.

But if you're still using it make sure you cover your own scent and crouch down somewhere a decent distance from the bait.

You're fine, you've done it right - pelt goes to the trapper, antlers (or tooth/fang/whatever) goes to the fence for the trinket. Go to the fence, you'll still have the legendary buck antlers in your inventory.

edit: oops beaten to it

Found 2 weird fu..kers up north...kinda reminded me of bad boy Bubby...they offered food then alchol inside thier cabin...after one drink I left...

After leaving on my horse I rode back after a second thought....killed em both...feel that the community is safer without then weirdos in it

Didn't enjoy the start of Chapter 5 - felt more like Far Cry: Wild West.
That song that plays when you ride back to the ranch - loved it!

When open world games take me away from the world like that, especially without warning, is a real pet peeve of mine. This one felt like forced and unnecessary filler and I didn’t enjoy a moment of it.

I understand that more people are getting through the game but just a reminder to be mindful of the spoilers guys. Don’t be afraid to use the tags if you are unsure. Also make sure to label the spoiler (ambiguously of course) so people know if it’s safe to click or not.

With the dead eye, is the main way to use it as follows?

R3 pressed in to engage "dead eye"
Move the right controller around to find the target, then usual R2 to shoot.

What's the go with R1? It says i can now target with that, but if i go into dead eye, it needs me to be aiming extremely close to the target for the R1 to then auto target.
Would also like to know the answer to this. Anyone?

It changes as you progress through the main story. Early on while you are in dead eye it automatically paints the targets when you hover over them. Later in the game it changes to where you tag your shots with R1/RB. When you are done you hit R2/RT and it shoots at all the targets you painted.

I'm the opposite, it really kicked the story along at the right time for me, basically from there I mostly did main/side missions with whatever randomness popped up til the end of the story. I usually get so unfocused and aimless with open world games that the storyline becomes almost irrelevant. Maybe it's because I did a lot of free roaming in chapter four that the rails came along at the perfect time. Once it was clear Arthur was dying it seemed wrong to go pootling about looking at dinosaur bones and dreamcatchers. And yes, the song as I was heading back to Shady Belle was perfect, just cruising in cinema mode.

But yes, maybe a warning would have been nice, I guess i was just lucky

I had completed everything I could up until then too, but I just felt like being whisked away like that so suddenly really jarring.

Question. When I catch the larger animal or large fish and I put it ion my horse do I take it off when I get back to camp to give it to someone how does that work.

im playing this game too much. In real life im going to bed and having dreams about the bloody game, but with weird twists to it. Just woke up now from a dream where i was knocking the teeth out of some old guy with the butt of my rifle because he was trying to steal my groceries....

I just got home from a couple nights away alone in the bush and one of the nights I woke up to the sound of horses. I unzipped my swag and saw a couple horse run past and one had a saddle which I thought was odd then I saw a coule more horses but this time they had riders and one dismounted and lunged at me with a knife.
Then I woke up for real and unzipped my swag and there was only the campfire crackling.
No shit of a lie this was my Wednesday night! I never get nightmares.

Random stuff in this game is the best. Just found a meteor, had smashed through a roof and killed 2 blokes inside a house, severed limbs everywhere haha. No idea what I do with it.

Killed 3 perfect goats in a farm, just as I finish skinning one, one of the remaining goats headbuts me lol

Coz that went so well thought I'd kill a cow in the same farm for another perfect pelt, didn't stop a witnesses in time, nek minnit about 12 dead lawmen and $325 bounty in one hit

10/10 GOTY :D

Nah leave it on the horse and walk to pearson (butcher). Interact with him and select donate, then use R1/L1 to choose 'horse cargo' (it should also be under 'recent' if you got it not long ago).

Finding it really hard to get invested in the Protagonist. Already liked Dutch and the men he runs with.

Also, don't like the decision to make this a Prequel to RDR1. Any room for Potential cliff hangers, completely out the window.

Loving chapter 5..
Some insane shooting sequences.

I have been taking my time.

Love hunting up north for all kinds of animals

Got perfect bear pelts ...where did I shoot the bear...well does a bear shit in the woods.
I shot him in the ass...up the date....perfect pelt ...

With sniper rifle ...plant a bait ...he comes and eats...he bent over ...bang lolz

The game never feels a grind to me...love the balance of side missions, hunting, camping and story missions. .balance is right

Holy crap I wasted some hours on this last night and achieved absolutely nothing story wise.
Went and found a train wreck a mate told me about which was worth the effort, it is up near legendary wolf territory so I hunted that while I was there.

Then when down south later I got myself a pristine gator.. I also shot and killed 3 others and any thing that moved in the area before being game enough to get into the swamp to claim the skin.

Finished the night off with a happy ending bath and also did that in the game

Silly question how do you use spoiler tag
