With Ben Johnson carrying his bat again, the question needs to be asked when did the same player carry his bat twice in a season?? I have always liked Johnson, so now he is probably the only SA player apart from Boof or Blewey with a half-decent average, he should keep his spot. Also, he can bowl useful medium pacers (particularly with Blewett limited to batting) & is a good fielder.

I agree the South Aussie batsmen don't seem be showing any improvement under Chappell - this has been the case for the last few years & seems to be geeting worse. The say when he was captain of Australia Chappell had problems communicating with his teamates, because everything came easy to him (so he couldn't understand when they were going through rough times). Perhaps it is the same problem as coach. I just down think Vaughan & Co are up to it & we should be blooding some youngsters whilst B&B are still around.

Thank goodness our bowling has improved with the likes of Rofe, otherwise we would be a complete laughing stock. Whoever is our bowling coach is doing a far better job.

Either way, opposition sides on any ground would pencil us in for a **** load of points. Bin this way for a while...

Lehmanns battin like hes in the nervous ninties.

Chappel frustrated but hes also frustrated all the way to the bank.

His elder brother at least had a backbone and made the hard decisions
