Doesn't look any worse than stitches in the head and a mild concussion for Head...which probably means he misses the next four matches and then plays crap til the end of the year and forces us to trade him to NSW at seasons end

What the **** are they doing? Mark Waugh says we need four off the over to stop NSW getting the bonus point. Six or seven overs ago we should have been going for the win!

Unless there's a bigger picture thing about run rates or something but **** me it looks terrible.

Match fixing.

We had absolutely nothing to lose by trying to get a few runs. Blocking out a maiden decreases our net run rate. If we'd lost 2 wickets and scored even 1 run in the process, that would have been a better result.

We even ran out the gloves with the secret message; try to bat badly and gift a rival team a bonus point that means they can now kick us out of the final.

Stupid.

FFS, Botha has been our best bowler in the Ryobi Cup this season, and one of the leading bowlers for the competition, look at the stats yourself. He has been immense for our ODD side this season. I'm getting a little sick of people bagging him after one poor game.

Christian has been rubbish though, I agree there.

I think you solved the puzzle. It's in SA's best interest for NSW to take risks playing for a bonus point.

Then NSW really shouldn't have batted first. Having to restrict a side to less than half your total is infinitely harder than chasing down a total inside 35 or 40 overs, knowing what you have to make.
