Good on Trav for having a trundle and getting a few.

No that was the point
They're somewhat akin to the NZ side of old. The Kiwis used to be able to reverse their batting order and nobody could tell the difference. Sadly the Kiwis are much improved these days, while the Redbacks are not.

Issue I reckon with Head (and Watson I guess) is that he's a boundary hitter. I bet his percentage of runs scored via 4's and 6's would be higher than the best middle order batsmen.

He often cruises to 40 or 50 then the opposition dry it up, string some dots together. Stop trying to get him out, set defensive fields. He doesn't have the ability to rotate the strike easily or work through those periods. Yet.

Its something that comes with experience you would hope. Warner was the same, albeit a more explosive version and he turned out alright

Top of the order it's not such an issue

Three slips and a gully, bat pad, gaps everywhere. Plus a hard ball that flies off the bat. Opening bowlers with pace.

Middle overs, ring field, spinners on, softer ball... it's a different game.

I do wonder where he will settle. Can open, bats in the middle order too.
