Daniel Drew started to show good signs last year but his season hasn't got started yet. Hopefully he can find the spark again. I like him.

Lehmann hasn't made consistent runs for a long time.

McGurk seems more a white ball novelty player

Never understood how Smith never kicked on, seemed as good if not better than Head in the early days

Carder and Drew are both 27, which I didn't realise. Tom Kelly was another batter who looked ok.

Yeah the batting is the biggest issue as it has been for years, not sure Drew should be at 3 looks more like a 4/5 and McSweeney at 3 IMO. If Hint can get back to his best form it helps.

Captain as well i suppose he does have the best winning record of any SA captain in the last 15 years.

Yes/no. I just watched the last few overs. No 3rd man to Kawaja looked suicidal at the time looked strange considering he was after 2s and 4s. Luckily, he was bowled and that may have been the reasoning to make him play a bad shot.

It's a shame his batting has fallen away so badly

A few years ago he looked a real chance to push for higher honours, but now if he wasn’t captain he’d be struggling to hold his spot. I would have looked at Nielsen as captain but perhaps he’s not that type of character within the team.
