Tassie 1/41 at stumps
Weatherald 26*

No leg spinner so we're relying on the quicks + Manenti who I really only regards as a bits and pieces option (averages 47 with the ball)

Manentti plays every week
Yep he does but we are only going to play one spinner and we really want an extra batsman because we are still to scared to trust our top 6 (with very good reason mind) and Manetti fits that bill.

He isn't a great spinner though and definitely not one you would say gets wickets but holds up an end. He is like a redbacks version of Lachie Murphy and like Murph, he has a leadership position

He's better than Murphy.

Has a FC batting average of nearly 37, which is higher than most of his regular teammates.

Lachie couldn't say that.

2 quick wickets. 4-230

Tim Ward for Tassie forgets how to bat for the best part of 2 seasons then comes good the last 2 matches, lot of that going around it seems at Shield level with Kurtis Patterson & Jake Weatherald as well.

This is literally only a game because SA declared their first innings early after all the rain. Without that, this was heading for a draw. No idea how Tassie collapsed for 200 on this pitch in their first innings.

Calm down, pitches in Tassie have flattened out as the game goes on for a while now. This one was even flat from day one. The days of this being a bowling paradise are gone.
There's a difference between flat and bowling deadset rubbish, dropping catches and letting a team be 5 down for nearly 400.

It's not acceptable.

SA were 6/398 on this same pitch, calm down, it’s flat. Has been some great batting to consistently hit gaps too. The catch dropped a bit earlier was ****ing tough too (not the Hunt one, one before that).
