You've gotta register for a ballot next Wednesday. He should have received mail about it if he's a member.

he shoulda got something in the mail. it might be on the website anyway. sep members and social club register between 8am-11am next wed and normal members register between midday and 11pm

When people book how many people will you book together? I usually go with a group of people but think i should just book in groups of 2, possibly 1 to get a really good chance. What will the rest of you be doing?

I was going to do the same thing. There is 7 of us, so we are doing a group of 4 and a group of 3 separately. Hoping it give us a better chance

i think its 8 is the max u can book together. i have 3 memberships lol. i got afl memberships ( geelong based), reserved seat membership with september member on it and i have a general admission membership. im doing it like this
sep member- me and my mate register that together coz we guaranteed anyway
afl one- by itself and if i don't get that then i will try with afl on the tuesday when they go on sale.
general admission membership- register with my uncle so 2 together

Yeah same 7 people, we will go 2-3-2 or one of em wants to go alone as she thinks it almost guarantees her one for when they come down to single tickets and not many people will go individually.

Anyway i want to attend the ballot where is it? Maybe ticketmaster can put it on the net live.

we gotta wait to Monday 9am to find out if we got tickets and no doubt that the system will crash as it always does with ticketmaster.

What u do is check ya credit card on the saturday to see if it has been charged or not. You know then if your going.

Ballot will be completed on saturday, they charge ya credit card there and then - the club confirmed this for me. If you have insufficient funds or there is a problem with your card they call you up.

i thought about that but my credit doesn't update weekend transactions until the Monday

Maybe debit card would work, or if you have ebay it will show if it is pending.

Just checked the Power board - assuming we will be playing them. Their ticket allocation looks like a regurgitated dogs breakfast........need a degree in quantum physics to work it out. Ours in comparison is much fairer and simpler........

Anyone got alternate plans if you dont get your number called in the ballot? I'm going across for the prelim friday week, from adelaide! cannot wait. Hope to back it up a week later as well. I am fearing my name won't be called out and would pay top dollar for a ticket if thats the case, so yeah - anyone else got plans to acquire a ticket should the ballot fail? GRRRR Im losing sleep over it.!!

If we make it and I don't get a ticket in the ballot, I'm going to watch the game at one of the "live sites" in Geelong - they have them planned at Skilled Stadium and on the waterfront.

I live in Melbourne so I'd drive down, and I already have a hotel room booked in Geelong for the night just in case we win. My boyfriend (a Collingwood supporter) would come down with me too.

Of course, the ideal plan is that my dad and I get tickets to the game. We are both Geelong members and have access to AFL Silver memberships.

If we play port, we should be able to get tickets with Silver. i have the same membership as well. port hardly have any AFL members

Yeah that's a good idea. And the atmosphere at one of those sites would probably be better than the actual game, imo.

Anyway I'd probably lean to go to Geelong too. I know the players will be in Melbourne rolleyes after the match.. but come on.. Geelong!! Ya GOTTA be in Geelong if they win their first flag in 43 years, ffs. Melbourne is the last place I'd wanna be at.
