And fair call too. However, I don't like him as a MAN because of the way he behaves not who he plays for. Great player though - but I wouldn't support him no matter where he went. There have been great Crows players I haven't liked as men as well but whilst I have acknowledged their skills found it really hard to get enthused about them as people.

I dont know how anyone cant see the chad cornes demeanor is put on. He so badly over compensates with it that its not funny. If he was at the crows he would be far less like that.

Yes he doesn't come across well in interviews and can appear arrogant for sure. But he is actually not like that at all.

Pish posh, why philosophise when it's obvious Chad is evil and so is that never been reported/scandalised family man and model professional he's in cahoots with down Alberton way? In fact if not for them I'm confident we'd be playing to packed houses and there wouldn't be enough tarn-off in the world to polish all the silverware we'd be toting.

ok maybe I might know a little more about this subject.

a couple of years ago in New York, during the offseason, Chad & matty were going to dinner with Darren Cahill. They arrived at the address, to find Steffi Graff in an apron at the kitchen cooking dinner, with Andre Agassi (who Darren was coaching at the time) welcoming them. apparently it is was the agassi/graf's house. As I understand it Chad knew about it, but kept it quiet and it shocked the **** out of matty when the door opened.

Maybe the fact that Chad is a tool is reflective of the environment down at Alberton. Choco certainly doesnt come across as a non arrogant level headed person. So maybe having Choco as a role model has not helped Chad either.

Basically though it's all what ifs

Chad is an awesome player, but Kane I am not so sold about obviously he would make our 22, but definately not an Edwards, Roo or Macca type player though. I have never been fussed about not getting Kane Cornes.

That's fair enough, I'm sure we've had some disreputable individuals play for us over the years. The thing about Chad is that he's never come across as that much of an idiot to me - I think a lot of it is guilt by association, e.g. he unfortunately plays for Port. In my opinion the gold standard tossers are people like Heuskes and Carey. Then again, I'd rather be run over by a very slow moving steamroller than watch a Port game, and I don't watch the TV news, so perhaps he's done\said things that I am unaware of.

Anyone that thinks they wouldn't like Chad if he played for us since his first game is kidding themselves. Fact is we love to hate power players and same goes for power supporters hating our players. Its all part of the cross town rivalry.

Chad does seem to put on the whole arseh*le act tho. He does seems to try a bit hard sometimes.

I've only heard good things about Chad from those that have met him off the field. A good friend of mine (also a crows supporter) met him a few times through some work experience he was doing, and reckons he was very friendly.
He does seem pretty arrogant on the field, but you love that in a player when he's one of yours. Walker already has that arrogance, and nobody seems to have a problem with it here.

He MAY be worshipped by SOME. I am not delusional. I've not liked the arrogant tossers we've had playing for us either!
