Wow was not expecting that. Does anyone know how many listed players Brisbane had?

I saw the starting list for the Lions and they had a few senior listed players but not many real quality players. Players who would be contributing a lot at seniors level that I could see. Josh Green, Broc McCauley and Monty Buchanan were the best of them that I can remember.

I had a look on the Lions board and I counted 11 but apparently two didn't play including Monty. I think we had 15 which is quite a big advantage. Still I'm heartened to hear that Nipper is continuing to excel and put pressure on the seniors and also Meredith finishing with six goals.

Also can someone keep an eye out on the sportingpulse results and paste the best players here as I can't seem to access the site from here

Eugene was very very good yesterday, especially in the first half. His tackling was a stand out, he got plenty of the ball and used it very well.

Field kicking for the whole team was top quality but the number of behinds doesn't indicate long speculative shooting or lots of rushed behinds, but rather really wasteful conversion from very gettable shots. TDL was by far the worst culprit.

It's almost endemic from top to bottom it seems for whatever reason.

Ah I was wondering why the top goal kicker wasn't listed as best of game. That explains it.

There was a slightly blustery feel to the afternoon but nothing like strong enough to explain why he was missing shots he would normally gobble for breakfast. His marking was excellent, especially after half time. But even if a breeze was a small factor in inaccuracy, you'd think that after five or six sighters he'd have worked it out.

Seaby also missed at least two, Pyke probably a couple, and Gordon two or three as well.

What's the reserves watchers thoughts on the likeihood of Kane Murphy getting picked up in the rookie draft by the Swans or others?

Hard to know. The Swans have half a dozen Academy players of similar build and attributes who are draft age. Murphy is probably the most polished at the moment but he's already one year overage so there may not be as much scope for improvement.

I would have thought Murphy is pretty different from Potter, Guthrie and Kenny, if that's who you're talking about. He's quicker and has better skills, for one thing. He puts me in the mind of a shorter Kieran Jack.
