Due to be by the President's side is his personal friend and Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy, but when the venue suffers a bioterrorist attack, Leon is forced to face a President transformed beyond recognition and make his hardest ever decision. At the same time, Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance member Chris Redfield arrives in China, itself under threat of a bioterrorist attack. With no country safe from these attacks and the ensuing outbreaks, the entire world's population is united by a common fear that there is no hope left.

Not sure whether to look forward to this one or not. Could be good, could be awful. Wait and see.

Looks very similar to RE5. I hope they got rid of the horrible controls.. I've accepted that RE will never be survival horror again, doesn't mean I like it.. but I accept it.

Have to see gameplay.

Get rid of that ****ing control system. 5 wasn't too bad besides that shit. I want to run and shoot.

Such a shame as the scene with the zombies and burning cars was a massive nostalgia hit for me

There have already been a few spin off FPS Resident Evil games. I played one and it was awful.

So it seems like the Operation Raccon City instalment coming this year is more of an experiment than a continuation of the series now that this has been shown off.

3 main characters to play as, all with their own forms of differing gameplay.

Leon Kennedy with the more old school stand and deliver approach.

Redfield with the updated cover, assault rifles more action oriented approach.

And that bald guy (name???) with a hand to hand combat approach.

Would be awesome if that tied into the co-op gameplay in a similar way.

I played through RE5 a number of times but would only rate the game a low 7-8/10. If this improves on the big and more obvious to me faults then I don't see why I wouldn't want it. It does look like they're at least going super dark.

If ive got a computer controlled co-op partner following me around single player again then im not buying. RE5 was garbage compared to 4 (which i finished over 20 times on gamecube) Im a huge RE fan but 5 was Gears of War with infected africans, not survival horror at all.

Hopefully they've taken notice of Dead Space 2 and actually give us a survival horror game, Leons part looks promising and it was good seeing zombies again but that new guy looks like he has a co-op partner following him around....better be able to pick whose part to play so i can avoid that shit again.

Im hyped but only for Leons and Chris's parts so far.

Burning through our limited ammo like every encounter is the last. Wouldn't let her use anything but the pistol because of this.

I didn't mind RE5 but I didn't like it enough to recommend it either. Strange game really.

Ummm, so apparently 6 player co-op.

I'm gonna guess that might mean Mercs mode gets 6 player compatibility as it'd be ridiculous if it was SP.

Mercs for me was easily the best part about RE5, but 6 players seems quite excessive.

Resident Evil 6's co-op mode will include support for up to six players, the game's Xbox.com product page has revealed.

Could Resi 6's 6-player co-op be tied to the campaign?According to the listing, between 2-6 players can jump into the game's online co-op mode, with offline split-screen co-op restricted to two players.

At this stage, it's unknown whether Resi 6's co-op will be linked to the game's campaign or will form part of a separate mode. Could Capcom have a six-player Mercenaries mode lined up, perhaps?

This game looks great, I will surely pick this up on release.
My Resident Evil timeline:
First game I played was Code Veronica on PS2 - Was good, it was very freaky and was obviously a survival horror. I didn't finish it but I have considered buying it on XBL because I want closure. I hear it shows it age though.
Second was RE5 on 360 - probably one of the only games I finished twice. I loved it but I did play co-op with my friend both times. Obviously no where near a survival horror but I did like it.
Third was number 4 I downloaded for my laptop. This is the pick of them, I downloaded it last year and slowly played it bit by bit. So eery and a more than a few scary moments. The atmosphere was amazing I am also considering picking this up on XBL.

I suppose starting with the later ones I don't know how good the first 3 really were.

If this game can strike the balance about what was so good in RE4 then I'll be stoked. If they create the game with a viable single player experience as their chief goal this could be great.

I'll say I'm cautiously optimistic at this point.

Finding RE revelations on the 3ds a bit boring so im not too sure on this one yet, might wait for a price drop before picking it up, unless it gets rave reviews.

It's Capcom...the money milking pricks just don't know when to stop.

What's crazy is that you could buy like 3 PS3's/360's for that price...or just get a friggen jacket made that would be about 10 times better quality.

LOL, even when it was at its peak the RE series wasnt worth a $248 collectors edition let alone this gears of war clone they call RE6. Seems excessive for what you get, would anyone wear that jumper....seriously?
