I know the club denies he was injured last week, but he wasn't right and was taken to task byu an average footballer in Rhyce Shaw.

From the opening bounce today Judd couldn't, or didn't want to chase beyond jogging, and had no impact, and once again was made to look third rate by a second rate footballer.

Losing today all but stops any pipedream of playing finals. If we dish up more crap like that next week, we will be lucky to win again this year.

He needs a rest. Do it now, give him two weeks off before the Saints game and see if he can return fresh. WHy risk blowing him up for some bonus wins and risk his pre-season.

Bring in Pfieffer, Banno, or even give Blackwell or some other potential delistees a shot at saving their own skin and put Judd out for a short spell.

Outs: Judd (omit - rest), Carrazzo (omit - sorry Carrots, but you had a mare)

In: Pfieffer, Hampson.

Judd was concussed after his collision with Lloyd in the first quarter.

According to Fev, he doesn't remember any part of the game at all.

Don't underestimate the impact that clash of heads with Lloyd had on him today BB. From that moment on, he didn't look right. And, Fev and Ratts said so after the game as well. Let him play this week, and then he's got a week off due to the bye. Let's see what transpires over the next month or so of footy before we start resting players towards the end of he year.

Judd had a massive knock and struggled to run after it. We rest him next week we are risking a loss massively. Got hardly any blocks in his favour today and it didn't help when no taps were directed his way. One more week isn't asking too much then he has the break.

Fair point. I did see the clash, and he wasn't right after that.

My point is that I don't think he was right BEFORE that. He wasn't right last week, and he struggled to chase from he first few minutes. That clash came about halfway through the first Q IIRC, and no doubt affected him, but maybe all the more reason to give him a spell.

Maybe you're right, give him a week then has the break, but player management has to come before winning games ATM.

Grrrr..........what a shyte day.

You still think we can make the finals don't you.:(

If we win this week we are still a chance if we lose then we are gone.

The build up for this game should be finals like for the boys. We may only need 10 wins to play finals so yes I think we can win 4 games.

I was thinking that today - Judd should carve up someone like Welsh. He's obviously not fit & may need quite some time out of the game, but at what point do you guys do this & at what cost? You may make the finals but are hardly a premiership threat so is it really worth it to run him into the ground?

I'm just hoping that this superstar isn't pushed too hard & is constantly breaking down - as an Essendon supporter I saw it all the time with Hird and it's bad news.

Any chance someone could set up a block on Welsh at a stoppage.

How can he get a clearance when the back of his jumper was stretched at every stoppage.

Im all for resting Judd if it will help him.

He was offered a rest a couple of rounds back but said he wanted to play.

Everyone seems to be calling for Casrrots head and yes he did have some bad moments today......but surely Russell was worse by a mile. He has had 2 good qtrs for the season.......and was our worst today I thought

YES JUDD NEEDS A REST FFS!

I posted last week that after the pies game JUDD just looked realLy 'heavy' in the legs. Im sorry but if your telling me Judd is at 80% your kidding yourselves. I would say its more like 30%.

The bloke just looks stuffed and atm he is a liablitiy and teams will continue to exploit his lack of run if his not rested.

Last week he played crap for 3 qrts and then pulled off a good last quarter, this week he just looked worse. AND the head clash is no excuse, a head clash doesnt effect how fast you can run and your fitness.
E.G. BRENT HARVEY last week, copped a head clash came back on and didnt effect his fitness at all.

Whether or not a rest will actually help Judd is something im not really sure of as im not an expert on these things, but what i do know is we can not continue to play Judd at his current fitness level, simply a liability.
Would rather play another youngster.

I know he is going to play a straight bat but he played a very straight bat if he was lying when he said he was 95% fit on On The Couch last Mon.

Maybe the problem was that Hille was creaming us and like he has in the past Juddy was going to produce in the second half if not for the head clash

Thanks Dr Bluey - unbelievable

To be honest i though judd looke ready to tear the game apart in the first 15 mins of the game. Then he hit his head.

In saying that he is obviously not fit and i playing sore and i wouldnt be against giving him a rest but perhaps towards the end of the year. Lets just wait to see what happens over the next few weeks.

would you not agree that a head clash doesn't effect your running or fitness? Or do i need to highlight it in coloured writing for you to understand that question?

Of course it effects ur running. It effects ur co-ordination and therefore your running, ball use and overall ballance.

Have u ever tried playing a game 9.30 on a sunday morning after a big night, or running down the street when ur pissed.
