Man, I dunno these days. Yeah the original will always hold a special place in my heart, but I was a kid when I played it - just dunno if I have the time/effort/bother to grind through abstract nonsensical puzzles which, lets face it, they always are in these kinda games.

Like, oh yeah or course - use the book to scrape the oil off the path, or something. How could I have possibly not realised to do that :tearsofjoy:
I think it's the nature of society nowadays, we're simply not patient enough for games like this.

I actually went back and played the first 3 not that long ago. Still fun and kinda surprising how much of the puzzles you actually remember!

Every day I rode my bike to my mate's house and from there we'd walk to school together. In the afternoons I'd stay for about an hour or so and Monkey Island was something we played. I remember it taking us probably months to finish as obviously there were no walkthroughs to look up. Now I have to will myself not to look something up at the first sign of trouble. I wish I still had the patience I had back then.

Speaking of the original Monkey Island, does anyone remember the Dial A Pirate wheel that came with it?

It rang a bell but I had to look it up. Yeh, I remember this bad boy!

I went back and played Full Throttle about a year back during covid because my kids wanted to watch it

I literally sat there with the walkthrough so we could finish it in about 5 hours

To be honest I forgot how good of a game it was

The website for anyone who was looking for it.

So disappointed in the terrible art style

I hope it sells well coz it's Monkey Island

So close now!

Kinda coming around to the art style, but it's not funny at all so far

Oh well, it's more Monkey Island! Loving the hype around all of the world it's getting and hope it sells a bajillion copies

This is brilliant. Obviously picked hard mode because what is this game without puzzles. Played for a couple hours and love walking around Melee Island again. So far this is the biggest fan service and it's already loaded with references to the puzzles of the first game.

Of course not going to spoil anything but already had a few chuckles.
