May well have different views come R24/ Grand Final Day (!), but who's your most improved for the season thus far?

Mine would be, in descending order:

1. Alex Rance
2. Tyrone Vickery
3. Dustin Martin
4. Robbie Nahas
5. Jake King

Apologies to Browne and Cotch.

That Dusty and Cotch were already pretty decent and have taken another big step is great. Rance's progression from borderline fail to KPD has been nothing short of amazing - similar to the leap Kel Moore made in 2008.

If pushed, I'd love Griffiths to be among a similar list done in around 12 months. 12 weeks would be fine, too...

Albi's been spectacular, but just have to give it to big Tyrone, especially considering his improvement from the first few weeks of the season to now. You can literally see the confidence seeping out of him, stronger with each minute on the field. On Saturday he demonstrated that he has become a genuine threat.

I think Vickery had come from the lowest base off all mentioned, and is now quite influential for us. Rance not far behind. Am staggered by Dusty's rise to fame so quick, but I kind of expected he would get there sooner or later.

I just love the fact that all of them have valid reasons to be picked.

Martin has always been destined for greatness ,

Vickery for mine considering i had him playing for Vermont next year , very very honourable mention to Nahas , he was the new "Tivendale/Bowden" before this year

Hard one to answer. Browne and Rance have only had a few good weeks, Vickery had his best game on the weekend and has had a couple of good games but not enough to judge yet imo (improved from where he was thouh obviously!) Martin started as a gun and has stayed a gun so there wasn't much more he could improve other than reading the game, coping with tags.

Probably King...

Vickery and Rance are number 1 and 2 for me, they get the nod over others for me simply because of the position they are playing in.

  1. Big Vick
  2. Houli - I know he wasnt with us last year, but he has been awesome.
  3. Rance
  4. Kingie.
  5. Cotch.
Would have slipped Nahas in but he has tapered of a bit

dont underestimate him back at the G my friend...

Vick
Rance
Houli
Nahas
Kingy

Cotch and Martin are playing to what we expected, the above named have exceeded most observers predictions

I picked Rance as he we had no decent KPD, no offense to McGuane but Rance just came out of nowhere.
I also wanted to pick Vickery but we could only pick one... Vickery is not really that important as we already have an okay forward line but with Riewoldt out of form and getting frustrated Vickery has really stepped up.
Also wanted to choose Cotchin with his consistency but he was already a gun.

After criticising (rightfully IMO) earlier in the year it was my pleasure to vote for Vicks by a whisker over Rancey,

Rightfully????? 200 cm 20yrs old at the start of the season. Talls take time.

1. Rance
2. Vickory
3. Cotchin... first preseason
4. Martin...
5. Nahas.... Confidence

I did wite Rance off..... and I ever write a young player off

Voted Rance, but I'm biased as hell. I loved him even when his decision making was diabolical.

Nice that we can have a discussion about multiple legitimate big improvers.

I went with Rance as I always thought Ty was going to make it, but had my serious concerns with Alex. Some of his spoils on Brown on Sat night were fantastic, getting a lot better in regards to his body positioning in contests.

I was talking about this with some mates over the weekend. We all thought it was between Vickery and Rance. I chose Vickery for this poll. I think on the weekend he kicked more goals in that one game that all of last season.

Rance has shown he does infact have a place in the team and i am glad he has because i have always rated him and i hated it how he always copped it off everyone because the kid would give everything out on the field and always put his body on the line.

Nahas has been great as well but to me he has just refound his 2009 form.

Gee, Nahas really has imProved. I remember him missing a goal from 30 on the etihad runway v freo last year and thinking, right, that's him dusted

Now he cops a tag FFS!

I went with Vickery as he is both younger and taller so he should be taking longer to develop than Rance but his impact this year has been great.
Was a close call though as Rance's effort this year has been better than Vickery's

A couple weeks ago Nahas dominated a similar poll like this. The improvement from him has been most amazing. I didn't have Rance or Vickery written off. Nahas was too small, could find the ball, skills were iffy. Now look at him coping tags from opposition players. It's crazy!

Definitely NAHAS for me.

Exponential improvement from Ranca & Ty.
But i give it to Ty purely on his arrival from the nothingness of his debut season.
Ranca only had to iron out the brain fades, the rest was top shelf.
Gave us a preview against the bummers, controlling the BL like a veteran defender, then announced his arrival masterful display last saturday night on a serious CHF and made him at times take a second look and basically made him look second rate.;)
