We all have our own strong opinions about him. So Ill have a lot of people agree and disagree but have you all come to think about him as a HBF who didnt have any clangers?
If R Shaw had precise kicking and smart handballing skills, I believe he'd easily be one of the best HBFers in the AFL.
You will all look at his previous years, and his lack of disposal skills from previous years, but he has really improved.
Blank out his last few years and just picture this year, with good disposal skills, R Shaw is one of the best HBFers in the AFL. Easy. He has pace, evasion skills, always finds space, smart in the contest and very confident, he is a really good player if you just think of his attributes instead of his name and history.
Will definitely feature in our Premiership team.

His kicking is underrated. Yes, he turns it over; but he can be very effective too. I wouldn't worry about the knockers, mate. They will always be there watching, focusing on every clanger. If he can keep up his form of recent times I'm sure there will be a spot for Rhyce in the side.

Rest assured, he hates Carlton with a passion so I'd expect him to have a big one this week.

Deff improved but still needs alot of work.

Me thinks Heath took all the courage when it was being dished out though.

His last name is Shaw, hence why people have a crack at him.

There is still a lot of untapped potentual I believe with him, my favourite player to watch for his pace. The fact he doesn't kick many goals, when he does, I love every moment.

Hats off to him for working his butt off and also becoming alot harder but those who say he is a good kick are dreaming. His kicking has been pretty good the last few weeks but he needs to do it week in week out to be considered a good kick. His kicking in the first few games was very poor.

having said that he has been very good in all other areas of his game

Has improved, is highly rated in most media footy lists, for what that is worth. And seems to be more reliable with his decison making.

Has looked a better since Lynch retired. Seriously though just wished he could see where he was kicking it to sometimes, he must go so fast he doesnt know where it will end up

Good pace, good heart, good black and white soul but a poor kick that prevents him from ever being an elite player. Very happy to have him in the 22 and cull others that can’t kick well enough so long as we ultimately do that.

I was just thinking about R.Shaw as a genuine midfielder. He wouldn't be the most inside midfielder, but he is strong bodied and as long as he isn't going at full pace, he is great at winning the ball in the a tight contest. Have a look at the amount of contests he won against Port Adelaide. I know it's a different kettle of fish in the midfield, but I think he has some potential there, even as a tagger (as he has played before) who is very handy in the clearences.

ive never had a problem with rhyce cept maybe when his kicking was attrocious but he has improved that a hell of a lot. hes not playing as well as he was just before he did his knee but hes getting back up there

My only concern with him is that he never seems as composed as you would like, and that this leads to the odd brain explosion. It is not so much clanger kicks but clanger decisions that lead to turnovers - as an example his kick off the ground on Saturday night when he was about 3 metres from the boundary which landed about 20 rows back. But those moments are thankfully becoming fewer and fewer, and his ability to get the ball and carry it forward more than makes up for it.

Does anyone else think that Heath's emergence has caused Rhyce to step up a bit?
