Campbell is captain. Did he do the right thing against the dogs? He got in the thick of things and stood up for the club, is that what a captain needs to do or should he have been leading by example and tried to get our guys out of it?

Personally i think our game needs a bit of a melee everynow and again but that fight was a bit much. I didn't see it very well so i'm not too sure if Campbo did do the right thing. Our game went horrible after it, it upset the whole notion of things ... But good on him for sticking up for Richmond.

Good on him for flying the flag at the time, but once play restarted he should have led by example and focused on the ball.

Also, he shouldn't have done anything that will jeopardise him leading the Tigers out this weekend. I didn't see, but read he was throwing a few punches.

He has been told to be more aggressive this year, but looks likely to be reported for the second time in 3 games.

Not what we need!

The unfortunate results of Saturdays match :

1. Campbell and Knights WILL be reported for striking via video evidence and the tribunal, for consistencies sake, WILL out them.

2. As the initial assualt on Knights was unseen by either umpires or video, it has to be put before a tribunal investigator. This will take some days and will eventuate in a "our word against theirs" scenario.

3. Frawley's "payback" may occur during the tribunal hearings when he may instruct the players to ignore the "I don't know what happened" players code and go all out to get Libba or Smith.

4. All this destabilises the club just when it needs to be regrouping in earnest for the Brisbane match which we can ill afford to perform poorly in.

Campbell showed a captain's courage on Saturday but should also have showed a captain's cleverness in calming things down afterwards.

Can't disagree with too much there Dogbrick!

It appears near certain it was Libba, and it will appear the Campbell and Knights will have to sing, if only to provide some mitigating circumstances towards their defence.

Particularly agree with you statement about Campbell calmiing things down. Hope he has learnt from that!

No way Campbell and Knights will be rubbed out. Possibility they could be found guilty but they wont be suspended. Its called self defence. If somebody hits a tribunal member he's not to blame if he hits back. And thats all Knights did.

Good point! That is fine for Knights, but won't do much to help Campbell!
