Quite a shock to see in the paper this morning ... for a start the damn article just looked like an article about him, it took me a minute to register that he's actually passed.
In the early to mid-1990s, a number of Roys fans such as myself decided to extend our commitment to the Fitzroy name by attending some Fitzroy-Doncaster CC matches, where I we often spent time chatting to blokes like John Scholes, Darren Berry, and Killer and Leroy Watts.
So it was a little scary to see. Anyways, all that stuff about him liking the larrikins, yeah, it seemed to be very true from what I could make of him.
