R.I.P and condolences to all concerned from all the Kangaroos threadders...oxx said:A good mate of mine who used to post on the Carlton board, sometimes under my name, today took his life.
He loved the Carlton Football Club and his football in general.
I post this thread in fond memory of him.
RIP mate.

Pete knew the thrills and the spills the mighty Blues had to offer. The flags, the legends, the history. The Blues have been a shining light during all the other struggles that go with the territory known as life. Knowing somebody had some joy in their life is a comforting thought, wherever that joy may come from.

Mate, I'd be proud to have my thoughts used in such a way.oxx said:A request to Old Dark Navy
Would you mind if your words were used in a part of the Eulogy.
(just a couple of minor changes.)

I must tell you all that your words have been a source of inspiration to those who have read this thread that are involved with Petes family,my extended family.
I wish you all only health and positivity in your immediate futures - the reason - you have good souls my friends.
See you around..
Good luck to everyones respective clubs and may one of us win a flag SOON.

Deej said:I reckon if you wanna rag on someone you do it when they're alive, to their face. When they're gone it should be a time for reflection and celebration.
So, I wanna know who his favourite players were!
Start another thread and yeah i'd love to know more about them, seriously.Da Shag On Fire said:Dont get me wrong im not ragging on him at all. At the same time would you like me to start a thread on the mates I lost several years ago in a car wreck. They were huge Blues fans. Care to know who their favourite players were?
Hey Deej, no problem pal. Pete's favourite player all time was SOS, loved him. Favourite captain -Sticks, favourite big game player -Dominator (especially against pies), as a kid he loved -The Flying Doormat, Braddles used get his blood pumping, there were just so many that he raved about, Ken Hunter, Wayne Harmes etc.. He wanted for Whitnal to be a superstar so badly, really liked the look of Waite, thought he had the potential to be anything. Just typing now brings back his voice, freaking me out gotta go.. Good-LuckDeej said:Hey adam, who was your little bro's favourite carlton player? Current day, and all time?
By the way that's a fantastic choice of music to tribute your brother, if he was a jeff buckley fan he had very very good taste. Very emotional music that.
Da Shag On Fire said:Im sure im not the only one who has lost loved ones who didnt take that option.
