Elliott , not that quick??? equal 6th or 8th in 20 metre sprint at draft camp! have you done your homework? played great footy last season, injury this year put the stopper on him a bit, but nothing permanent. If this lad gets a chance at rookie listing he could well prove to be the diamond in the rough. Mark my words;)

i know that he was 6th at draft camp but the way he runs he accelerates late, he is quite slow of the mark... and if he is as good as drummond and you seem to think so he would have been taken in the draft on the weekend considering many consider it to be a shallow draft... elliot is just another vanilla midfielder.

Over 20 metres?

Need I remind you of that speedstar Pearcy whom you overlooked and picked Nye whom i hear has been delisted already?? Braggibg rights WRT recruitment often change from time to time but we at least boast this one... :D

Interesting point. Who would be ahead in this one, Port or the Crows ?

We upgraded Hinge and Griffen, granted that neither have made an impact at AFL level yet, but both must show something or they wouldn't have been promoted. Pearce on the other hand has shown something at AFl level, but hasn't quite set the world on fire.

Will be interesting to see how it all pans out in the years ahead.

EDIT - You're right though. Why we bothered to take a chance on a run-of-the-mill HBF'er is beyond me. Better off taking a chance on someone with a bit of X-Factor like Pearce.

Just on recent history, I think you can say port are ahead. apart from Pearce, you guys still cringe WRT passing Kane for Lawrence; think the same can be said WRT swapping pick 12 (Shaun B) for Mat Bode; not really sure what you gave up for Rhett but you may have won that one.

He is bottom age so he can't be drafted in the PSD or RD.

Incorrect, his Bday is the 28/1/1987 making him 19 next jan, easily making the cut off date for the rookie draft! where did you get your infomation?

My bad. I didn't check thorougly enough. On footydraft.com, they have "*" next to those players eligable to be picked up in the PSD and Rookie draft. According to that list he is ineligable but if you click on his name, it takes you to his profile where his DOB indicates that he is clearly eligable.
