Robinson, in my opinion, just over Rich. Hurley deserves a good mention as well.

What about a guy like Kyle Cheney, I thought his game for Melbourne down back showed a lot of promise and, at times, real leadership back there.

Rich deserves it. 21 quality possessions, did some hard work in close and let off some nice long passes. His spear pass to Brown I think it was, late in the game, was fantastic. Looks a real winner does Rich.

Kyle Cheney would be the other choice. 22 disposals, 9 of them contested, for 91% efficiency, with 7 marks, 1 contested. All that from 76% gametime! Pretty bloody good for a first gamer in defence. He deserves it more than everyone on the poll bar Rich.

Hurley was very promising also. Looks like he'll be a real strong bodied defender of the future who read the play well.

Agree, it's ridiculous. These poll choices should all be made public so the clowns can be weeded out.

Rich ..played a huge role in turning around a losing game. Showed why he should have been a top 3 pick.

Then Hurley Cheney and Robinson in that order

Hurley as he played KP and took the kick outs without missing a target.

Kept Westoff goaless and then moved onto Tredrea and did the same in a team that lost by 7 goals.

Much harder playing KP and dominating than running around untagged in the midfield or backline getting easier kicks.

Nothing against Rich, Robinson or Cheney but they are easier positions to do well in.

WTF? It's not ridiculous. Robinson kicked 3 goals and was very handy. Just cause we dominated the match doesn't mean he shouldn't get a nomination.

Rich was equally as impressive, with his long kicks etc but how can you rule out Robinson.

Anyway, easily a 2 horse race. I watched both closely (as I had both in DT/SC) but I'd say Robinson would be an excellent choice, but wouldn't complain if Rich got it.

I voted for Robinson. He was pretty good. I would vote in this order:

Hurley

Doesn't seem like you did too much research.... Cheney was much more impressive than Jetta- and nearly everyone else you mentioned. Perhaps you could post these stats you mentioned?
