Got another membership call during the week. Wanted to keep my several decades long streak going. I told him I know I have until the end of July. I said I'm waiting to see what is coming. He offered a discount. No thanks, I'm waiting ...

I've been a member since I was 5, 37 years. It's never even been a consideration. This is the first year I'm sort of considering not renewing. Probably will but don't want to.

What I didn't expect was that complete capitulation, and starting with our most senior players. Cripps, Curnow, Weitering, TDK, Saad and Doherty was awful that quarter - in effort, skills and body language. Complete white flag shown by the leaders of the team.

This is it. A loss where we gave everything but the other team was better is part of life, this constant inability to perform basic actions and be accountable when under any pressure at all has been a thread through 15-20 of Carlton teams.

It's mental and needs significant change to correct. No player or official should be safe from scrutiny.

Pittonet is killing our run and pressure, particularly at the centre bounce, if they can't win the ball teams love giving him the rushed centre clearance. They do it at VFL level too.

Absolute shit show, would rather it be Power, but Voss isn't the biggest issue unless he refuses to play Young or Lemmey in lieu of playing Pittonet from now on.

Ditto Lord on the wing or in a floating role. If he cannot sprint properly at this level, he has to put his body into tough spots.
