Ins and out for round to will be?

What changes will be made to the side for the Carlton must win game guys?

Grover will return for sure. But the question marks are over Peake, Cook and probably Polak. Will any of these boys get a run, i would think Peake will.

Then who goes out? McManus, Dodd??

No one is reading my tackle thread so I'll repeat my suggestions here. But I reckon Cooke, Haines and Grover come in for Matty Carr, Walker and Gilmore.

I'm not a fan of Gilmore, I don't see the need for 2 Des Headlands in a side that struggles to win the stoppages, but he wasn't our worst Today. Same applies to McManus, he's a long way from my best 22 but was in our best dozen Today. Walker was barely sighted, but he's one of Connolly's favourites. I think we need either Walker or Hayden in the side to play on the dangerous small forwards, but if Connolly isn't going to play him there we might aswell drop him.

If Peaker doesn't play there's something wrong.

one change will do the trick connelly out harvey in

My two initial changes as a reaction to watching a replay:

(1) Peake for Headland
(2) Drum for Gilmore

Surely gilmore isnt the only one to drop, what about the carrs thier disposals are shocking josh is worse.black did nothing,at least macca had ago even if he didnt do much with the ball.
in peake cook grover out j carr gilmore murphy
johnson at chb.I think johnson might be alright up forward with pav,i do prefer mcpharlin at chb.

Genius hayden was in super form for soufs on Fri nite. Polak is along way off had only 4 touches for the game against Perth. We need haydens run from defence.

One melee Dodd will be doutful. also Josh mite get a week for smacking vandenberg?

Grover in for Dodd.

I'm interested in why everyone wants to dump Macca when he was in everyones top 5 yesterday?

Keeps with the whole knee-jerk reaction. Very disappointing game all round, but Shaun was okay. He isn't a match winner, but he is a good honest player.

My other favourite knee-jerk comment has been "get it in quickly to the forwards". But the reality is it was as crowded as a Mumbai curry house in there, and it would have come out like a backpacker with the runs.

We were beaten at the clearances. It plagued us last year, and it had been the focus over the break. Unfortunately it actually looked like we were worse. Sandilands di alright, but they read his taps better than we did. Broadbridge and the players need to sharpen that up quickly.

It's been a problem for way to damn long. If they haven't addressed it over the long break then how can we expect it to change within a week? It's this that starts sending me towards the Rob mindset.

On one hand your thinking it's very early days, on the other hand you see all the same problems as we had last year.

Based on yesterday's insipid performance.
Out : J. Carr, M. Carr, J. Walker, H. Black and D. Headland.
These players are content to run to stand on the mark but never run hard to man up and put pressure on the player as he is receiving the ball.Tackling is almost non-existent.
In : Cook, Peake, Grover, Drum and Haines.
Might cop some criticism here but would rather see players commit their body instead having "talented" players standing back waiting for the easy possessions.

Serious questions must also be asked about the coaching staff. This game plan has been used before and failed miserably. Stuff the stastics and get back to basics.

I see where you are coming from, players are living on their name from past performances.

I can see players like Grover (automatic selection), Peake (foot speed) and maybe Cook (grunt) coming in.

Personally I would go down to the old peoples home and get some old grannies to come out and thump Headland, Black and the Carr clan over the head with umbrellas, as they need a massive wake up message.

Disagree with the comments against Headland. Thought he had a reasonable game. Part of his problem is that he is expected to win matches for us, and when he is "servicable" he cops it. Ditto farmer. I wouldn't be dropping Headland. Bit unfair re Black who has had an interupted pre-season. He is one of our more consistant contributors.
