Thoughts?

Okay, all i did was bag this bloke in his time at the club, but you've gotta feel sorry for the kid...
At the age of 19, giving up the game you've wanted to play all your life, it'd be hard.
Specially knowing your good enough, as he is.....you dont get drafted at number 7 if your a dud...

Having said that......what a waste! we got NOTHING out of him, whether it be injury, or just poor form, he never stood up like a first round choice should....

Sad to see him retired, but i'd imagine this was his last year anyway, in my opinion he was lucky to stay on the list this year anyway...

I feel sorry for him also.

I always thought that he had the physical attributes and that time would see him mature mentally. To be subject to performing as a first round draft choice, would be akin to being thrown into a Managing Director role at a business fresh out of High School.

If you aren't 19 yet (I'm 25), you will be aware that at that age, you think you are intelligent, but you know absolutely zero. I still know nothing!

Injury was a factor, but it was always his lack of mental strength that was letting him down. A shame.

On a selfish note, Judkins has more than made up for this "error", in this year's draft. Cole was touted as the number 1 choice at the end of last year, but injuries has held him back (suspicious Essendon connection may have contributed to this!). He is a gun!

McGough was surely one of our considerations for our first round choice. Super-tough ball-winning midfielder. Precisely what we need.

Davo sounds like another Tarrant. Get his head right and we have a super-star!

dan, i cant believe you actually feel sorry for him, i thought youd be like good riddance to bad rubbish or something. :(

but your right when you say he wasnt a dud (finally you realise), duds dont get drafted that high.

your also right when you say collingwood didnt get anything out of him (i got something out of him tho), hes been injured - ostitis pubis (which was from near the start of the season till probly next), and 2 hammies (as far as i can remember)

poor danny.

He was a dud from a 7th draft pick. IT was a mistake to draft him so high, especially with all the other talent that was in the draft that year.
We trade King to get that pick....and we wasted it...
