Terrible thread. Robbie's shown massive amounts of his natural talent and vision in play. Sure, he's not been finishing great so far this year, but I'm pretty happy to cut him some slack given the severity of his injury. I'm more than happy to wait to see how he kicks on next year after a full pre-season.

Could very well be our most talented and valuable player.

Nailed it.

INB4 someone with Robbie Gray in their name takes a shot at Boak/Ebert/Ronald Reagan for absolutely no reason.
Inb4 someone flames OP without reading the dates.

On another note, what happened to everyone's favourite necrobumper Dobby? I miss his cheeky ways, his mastery of how to surf the world wide web was an example to us all

The brightest stars burn out the quickest.

Poor bugger could barely move out there. Should not have been left on the ground. Desperate act by a coach trying to salvage something from a wasted season.

I did actually like what Tony Shaw said about him in the Brisbane game, that guys like Dangerfield and Fyfe have physical power in their game which helps to make them great, but Robbie is the most pure footballer out of them, his greatness comes from his head and his skill, not reliant on his speed, size, or strength.

Robbie Gray is comfortably the team's most accomplished player, but there is no doubt he has at times looked totally pissed off, like eg when he was sitting on the bench during the geebung game.

He could be carrying a niggling injury, and/or has no confidence in the game plan, but he has still been our best midfielder, when others in that role have often struggled to have any impact at all, with Ollie Wines being a prime example of that.

Ollie has become just a `let's get the ball and kick it in the general direction of the Power goal type player,' there appears little to no science, or structure, to what he is trying to do, he continually rushes his work and little thought has been given to what will happen next.
If he had performed in his first season or two, like he has in this, I'm of the opinion he would have lined up for the Maggies on quite a few occasions.

Anyway getting back to Robbie, he certainly has the appearance of someone who isn't happy about something!

I love me some Robbie, but that isn't the best company he's keeping. No one wants to see their name next to Mayne, Daniher and Casboult on a list.
