yeah well ranger that's the aim of it isn't it, I don't think it's a RFC problem so much, a greater trend that needs a whole lot more support. Id be putting some serious work into Troy Taylor just quietly would hate to think he packs it all in. RT is a quality person..he should be good for these lads as a role model...it's prob why he will be required going forward

relton wasnt really cut out for the afl, out of his comfort zone & not able/willing to do the hard yards !

hes a naturall footballer that plays by instinct & not really able to conform to the new afl game tackling , zones , chaseing , hard training dicipline etc etc

the chances are he could of been at the club for 2 years more & not gotten fit enough and delisted any way.

my concern is with troy taylor , we really need to make sure this kid gets over these issues that are posted on here , he is a super talent that just needs to mature & accept the afl life to become a star

really has that special something this kid , hope dimma & the coaches get him sorted,

It's actually a bit disappointing that we have such a great character in Richard Tambling and this indigenous centre in construction, but we're still obviously not providing guys like Roberts, Taylor and Gilligan with the support they need. Hopefully, this is something that changes in the very near future.

Thank god my nephew Liam Jurrah was drafted by the Melbourne Football Club. Reading some posts in this thread I wouldnt blame Relton or Troy for leaving.

BigFooty supporters views have nothing to do with the club's overall view. Your view is as shortsighted as some of the posts on here. The club has developed an indgenous centre of excellent in case you hadn't noticed.
Poor form tainting a whole club with the select view of a minority.

bloody hell people act shocked that this bloke cant hack it. why do people think he was overlooked for so long. im not sure how much footy is between the ears but in the afl it plays a big role.
relton like taylor were huge risks the club went in eyes wide open they have to wear the criticism.
sheesh i copped some flak here and at pre for daring to talk about the risks involved in taking these blokes.
was prepared to take taylor late but to add another like him and at 23 turning 24 well just asking for trouble.

Goodbye Relts all the best with your future. As for Taylor....sheesh... this bloke is even more impressive than Peterson was just before he left. He is exactly what we need to compliment Jack, Biggy and Hicksy (next year). In form he would be a nightmare match-up for opposing sides.

So if you read this Troy know that you could become a leading light for a club that will become a game leader in the near future and a beacon through the Indigenous Centre of Excellence for indigenous Australians or conversley just another forgotten boy who wasted an opportunity to become the man.

Leaving to be with your family doesn’t really wash with me,

You’d reckon the chance of earning yourself a contract of $200k+ and setting up your family for life would provide some good motivation.

But then again it’s a completely different cultural background.

As far Troy Taylor is concerned, we were all young and stupid at some point. Hopefully he wakes up to the fact that if he could really have it all if he works hard and puts aside the bad influences in his life.

Strong role models are required. Maybe time to get Michael Long in to have a chat to him.
