I think Mick should have given Rocca a run in the ruck on Monday. At least that would have got him a couple of touches.

Should of yes. Why he sisnt we wont know, couldve played him further up the ground with Bryan or Fraser deep but didnt, Mick made some mistakes on Monday

He hasn't got the aerobic fitness to play in the ruck these days. Maybe Mick should have put him at centre-half forward, but he was having a shocker anyhow.

is this about monday? if it is it would be better if rocca just dragged ben holland off the field behind the goal post and free up space

The umpires made mistakes on monday, there were at least four free kicks that should have gone roccas way, all within scoring range. He kicked 2 goals from those we wouldnt even be talking about this now.
Im not sure if rocca would appreciate him getting dragged to the ruck, maybe mick was trying to show confidence in his star forward. but yeah i agree given the circumstances a run in the ruck or even a kick behind play would have been good!

I'm sure he would have liked to but he didnt have a free hand as both of his were being held like he was in a private schoolboy romance!

i agree with that but he has to get better at getting past shit umpires and scragging.

He has certainly beena good ruck before and also a good defender, hard to know why he wasn't for example put on one of their talls at least worth a try.
I"m thinking there might be more to it - achilles might still be playing up a bit and you have to be very careful with those - but in that case it's doubtful if he should be playing until it is improved.

When was the last time he played defence, i remeber him down ther as a ruck but never a back man.

100% correct. Words out of my mouth.

If Holland or Rocca marked behind the goal posts it would've been paid anyway.

if Rocca did it woudlnt have he was in a collingwood jumper. Holland on the other hand would've been able to play on behind the goal line since he is in red and blue.

Missed out on some obvious free kicks. If a player has to go one handed for a mark because he being pulled back with the other, thats a free kick. Simple really.

Like to see him crash packs.

I dont see why Mick doesnt put Rocca down back when he is doing nothing up forward.

He could put up a contest and could eiher spoil or mark a one on one, I think the main reason he doesnt is because he wouldnt be able to keep up if someone lead out, thoughts?

thought he could have been used down back to fill the space - through the fault of the umpires as well as his own, he wasn't having no impact up forward, he was actually having negative impact.

Playing him down back when they where paying frees against him like they were would have been devastating and would have worked against us. that is the reason I think he was left up forward. I still belive he should of been taken off for the last 10mins or moved to CHF so he was out of the way when going deep into the 50. Rocca is a great asset when on song everyone has a bad game now and then. I just hate the Dees and was woried about this game all week.
