So this is what it feels like. I did expect it to be a touch warmer seeing we are so much closer to the earths core but alas any warmth or comfort was ripped from our arms today.

Was it unexpected? No, not really but still the feeling ain't great.

I gazed up briefly at around 4:30pm only to see shark excrement resting just above me, I then realised that, we the MFC faithful had reached the lowest point i my living memory.

So now we rest a la the Titanic in the darkness of the AFl's Mariana trench.

I don't even know what this thread is for, perhaps a type of MFC anonymous where addicts can work on their life wrecking & soul crushing addictions.

This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Not much has really changed. Craig got them up and going for a few weeks, but that happens a lot when interim coaches come in. Fundamentally we haven't changed anything. Still have the same horrific injury list. Still the same confidence issues. Still the same lack of skill.

PJ is working towards it, and I bloody hope he knows what he's doing. We're as low as I've seen us. We need to re-build and be coached with no fear, and instil passion in this club once again.

Once again, massive shame, but no surprise. This re-build at board level, and coaching level, needs to happen ASAP. List needs a bit of shake up as well.

The only thing I find the mildest bit amusing is the fact that the mood around here one year ago was nothing could get worse than 2012 - that 2012 was the one true year from hell - and there is nowhere to go but up from 2013 onwards. Almost like optimism?

It's gotten to the stage this year where I don't even try to encourage people that are new to the game and/or don't have a team to barrack for the Dees, whereas I used to do whatever possible to convince them.

Exchange students, relatives from overseas, friends (mostly girls) who are only just getting in to AFL, my 2-6 year old cousins, etc. I refuse to inflict upon them the pain and suffering we've faced; there's something just unethical about telling someone they should barrack for Melbourne.
