Dan - now I do understand that this has been a hard year for you, you barrack for the biggest pack of underachievers of the modern century, DCFC is regularly kicking your butt etc, HOWEVER, thats no reason to jump the fence.
I suggest you get your little backside out to a nice little friendly pub - cashed up, find a girl, buy her a few drinks, enjoy her company for a hour or so and then wait for her to tell you she has a boyfriend and go home - errrrr no - what I meant was - grab her number and give her a ring
Its the thrill of the chase that's important here - not how successful you are and don't ever forget that

the whole thing is just non-existant.......
then when a really good one comes along.... he just happensa to live in a different state... how far is it from Brissy down to Melbourne?
then....... when i finally think it could be the real McCoy
it's just fine & dandy to start......
talking everyday on the puter or on the phone.......
then he says he likes me....... & i say the same....
it goes onm for like 2 weeks
then..... it starts to die off......... then i am talking to his mates more than him......... & i email himn & message him
& NOTHING...... i dunno what is going on..... sure he is busy working & with year 12 but........................ he couls just tell me that & i wouldn't feel so damn rejected~!
