Rookie Draft

Now that draft is finalised how do roookies get added on the club list.

Do we need to go through a rookie draft still or are we able to choose our own selections? Can we still pick up Burges, Surjan and Johnson?

If yes well that would be a successful draft.

Burges is too young to be rookie listed.

Possible rookies would be players unlucky to miss out such as...

Will Gayfer, Michael Johnson, Jacob Surjan, Lukas Teague, Paul Richardson, Michael Embley, Paul Duffield...

What is the Freo position with respect to rookies???

By the way I am not really suprised that we did not pick up many WA players this year...it follows an interesting pattern that WC have set over last feww years, ie use your early picks on interstate players and hope that talented WA slipp through the draft and then pick them up as rookies.
