Does having Angelo Lekkas out of action for three months allow us to promote someone from the rookie list ,& if so are any of our rookies good enough to step up? Not exactly sure of the rules myself ,any thoughts?

I disagree, i dont think he'll make it...
Based on what exactly?

I saw Kirkby the other day for the Box Hill ressies, and whilst it wasn't the best opposition, he was a class above. It was clear as day that the kid can play footy.

He excited me to the extent that I can't wait to see him play again. That doesn't happen often. His judgement of the ball in the air and his gutsy marking accompanied with his booming left foot was a joy to watch.

Young is still injured.

Wilday is off picking up Perth ladies.

Height is the only viable option to be promoted at the moment, due to the fact he is a a few years further into the system.

Angelo Lekkas cannot be put on the long-term injury list as his injury did not happen during a match.

I don't think that is correct. My understanding is the club only has to nominate a player is out of action for a specific length of time (it is at least 6 or 8 weeks), and they can elevate a player from the rookie list.

I don't think it is specified it has to be the result of a match injury.

I hope your right and fishbowl's wrong. Must admit, I've never heard the ruling that the injury must occur during a match. What if you injure yourself at training? What's the difference? Am pretty sure I heard on SEN the other day that is was 8 weeks to be on the long-term injury list. Love to see Kirkby get a run. Looks a gun from what I've seen. Might need to bulk up a bit though, Height is probably 1st in the pecking order.
