So excited to see that Rhys is going to be at the Blues in 2012.
Very worried about him coming up to list lodgement one, so glad to hear he is going to be retained in 2012.
Fingers crossed he can get a senior spot next year and add to his games total of one!

Seems strage how some of these decisions are arrived at, but I suppose you have to go with those close to the action. My casual observance from afar doesn't see to hold much weight with our list manager (yet).

Wouldn't know Carter if I tripped over him. Didn't get much coverage from the VFL perves on here which may or may not mean something. Twomey on the other hand seemed pretty hard at it with neat skills and didn't look too out of place in the top flight.

Thought the only rookie we should retain (outside of Ed & Zach of course) was Smokin Joe. 'Smokin' may well have been his undoing - seemed a very casual character.

Anyway...already looking forward to the 2011 crop of left field weirdos that is the rookie draft.

I like ROK. I wrote earlier that Aussie has more to offer than O'Keeffe (AFL height, size and speed), but O'Keeffe is a textbook kick. Dare isn't. If ROK can get as fit as buggery, I'd trial him as a forward/mid for his kicking skills and the muscle he could bring. Dangerous within range. ROK doesn't have Yarran's agility and poise with his short kicks, but he puts his head over and showed some straightline speed late this year. A miracle recovery from a career ending back injury.

I'd hazard a guess that Tuohy was never in the gun....

Zac has to get upgraded onto the senior list at the draft in a few weeks.
Reckon Curnow, if he can get his shoulder right, will be the nominated rookie for the start of 2012.

Pick 22 and Buckley may be ok. Pick 44s may or may not land anything. By promoting Tuohy, who will probably be better than any pick 44, it opens up the ability to use Casboult as the 2nd nominated rookie with Curnow. Just gives us the extra KP option. He showed during the VFL Finals that he may (or may not) develop into a decent KP forward at least at AFL level as well as giving us that 4th ruck option, in some ways filling Setanta's role.

Makes sense, he was never going to get into our seniors with Russell, Tuohy, Bower, Laidler, etc etc etc all ahead of him.

He made the tough decision for his own good. Best of luck to Darey, the boys at the club really loved him!

TBH, I don't know what CFC are going to do regarding the draft, atm we have 39 on the list with 2 rookies, so that only leaves 3 spots left to fill the quota of 44 maximum players.

So if we take 3 picks in the national draft that will leave us with 0 spots left before the rookie draft. (thats if bray gets elevated if he stays a scholarship player then we have 1 pick)

I don't know if there is a rule in place which states you have to draft at least 1 rookie, but if there isn't i can't see us taking anyone in the RD.

I can't see us elevating Touhy or anyone at that matter @44 without knowing what possible prospects that might be left on the recruiting teams radar.

My guess is 3 picks ND, Touhy nom rookie, (they may pick another depending on pre season performance) levi, curnow, carter, ROK as rookies bray stays on scholarship and 1 pick RD....
