I did manage to work it out in the end thankfully. True that, can't imagine the VIP sponsorship event would have gone ahead either, fans around the huddle!

Credit to Finnis, similar to Gale at the Tiges, realised the untapped potential and is making it work.
Clear defined boundaries now, the coach isn't running the entire show.
Maybe the saints thought we could not get someone like Finnis. The afl did help us get him.i think we'll look back and wonder why in the hell did we put up with netters for so long. utterly incompetent

Still, Finnis has a lot of work still to do. Increase nemberships. Another major sponsor, etc
I think that was it, we couldn't find anyone better. Finnis was a gun at the AFLPA too, the new guy is a loud flog...he thinks AFL players should earn as much as international athletes playing in 11 man teams or individual sports. He's got a touch of the unrealistic about him and even could be detrimental to a huge bulk of players in his care. If they pay a few too much then all the hundreds of others that pay his wages get less.
CEO's who put themselves out as figureheads of their organization will generally put a lot more effort into the job then someone who will sit back in a board room waiting for their inevitable mass payout to get rid of them.great post. i didnt get the ill feeling towards finnis when rumours were surfacing that we were into him. people stated they didnt like what he did at the AFLPA but the way i saw it, he did his job perfectly. he didnt over encroach and he always defend and fought for his primary concern, the players.
said it back then it was a good appointment. he's gone beyond that already. absolutely blown me away
That's funny cos I don't see anyone on Fremantle's list that can replace McPharlin, Sandi or Pav...
And what this will do is force young blokes to seek opportunity elsewhere, knowing they will be guaranteed senior matches. Ross loves his 'role players', but until he places more natural footballers in his team, they will not win a flag
Say you're Weller. You're watching other players from your draft year getting 20-30 games under their belt in their first contract term (2 years), while you sit playing WAFL every week. I think that breeds a high degree of "stuff you!".i've had this argument on the main board. freo supporters genuinely dont see the problem they are facing
the fact is ross should have used the eagles game to get game time into the likes of blakely, langdon/weller, even a hannath/apeness. instead he's pushing blokes 29+ against a bottom 8 side. why does sandi need to play against the eagles? why does mundy? theres literally no man management going on or pushing player development. its bleeding the maximum you can out of the ageing best 22 and **** the rest
his strategy now relies on blokes going to 33+ in age as opposed to 30
Taberner and Apeness got games last season. Tabs is doing well up forward. Dawson is out for 2 weeks, Silvagni is out for 12 weeks with injury. Perfect chance for Alex Pearce to debut. We can promote Tanner smith or tom Vandeleur off the rookie list and give Pearce and Smith/ Vandeleur 3-6 games each as 3rd tall defendersi've had this argument on the main board. freo supporters genuinely dont see the problem they are facing
