Squiggle tips Hawks at 66% chance -- What's your tip? -- Injury Lists » -- All Rd 12 Games
Our structure clearly has problems, but Taberner IN would not have fixed it. Weller for de Boer won't either. 2016 or 17 maybe. It's not rubbish, all they gotta do is bring the ball to ground and let Walters, Croz and Mayne have a chance. Our structure is crap and playing one proper tall forward is the reason.
Well I think it is not working at the moment with only one KPF and it was working earlier in the year with Tabs in playing second KPF so why not?Our structure clearly has problems, but Taberner IN would not have fixed it. Weller for de Boer won't either. 2016 or 17 maybe.

Sorry but this is one of the stranger posts on here for a while. Are you really suggesting the plan when kicking inside 50 should be to head for the boundary?
A snippet from Lyon's presser.
Do you think Ballantyne will play finals ?
I haven't thought about it to be honest.
Is he going OK in his rehab ?
Yeah, I think so. Nobody really tells me too much.
That's one way to run a footy club, I suppose.
I don't think it's unusual to find it a bit odd that the Head Coach has no idea on the current status of players on the injured list. All year he has been consistent in saying that he cares about who is available in the moment. just a couple of weeks ago he was asked about Dawson and basically said the same. if not available not overly interested. living in the moment is what great coaches do. not procrasinate about who might be available and what is confidence. he has stated earlier in his press conferences about the concept of confidence and its about actions. i cant believe we have this thread. no , actually i can believe. bring on the roast of ross lyon
I think people need to take a chill pill - we are top of table, he is rolling dice and trying to make sure his a graders are ready for rd 1 of finals so for eagles games onwards he will cope some shit due team form - I'll bet you'll all be happy when we win QF, PF at home and then GF.... Just let him coach and stop trying to second guess...in Ross we trust!!!
Usually we have 3. This week we had 2. They could have selected another but they didn't. This is really not a complicated concept.

No idea or no inclination to tell?I don't think it's unusual to find it a bit odd that the Head Coach has no idea on the current status of players on the injured list.

I'd wager he knows but being the coy bugger he is cbf'd sharing
They are fairly straight forward questions. As a supporter, I wouldn't mind hearing my coach answer them knowledgeably and not with a shrug of the shoulders and a blank " I don't know "not on Monday nights as they dont train. been consistent on this all year. besides injuries are not exact science all the time. point is irrelevancy. focused on now. that is his mantra. not hard to comprehend

Just my opinion.
No need to get your knickers in a twist.
If we got the ball in a touch quicker we could revert to our strategy of having the talls draw defenders and kicking a wormburner into the space 30m out directly in front (to a forward or a midfielder arriving into space) as we were at the start of the seasonNot every time. But if our half backs are going to continually bomb(kick in hope)to a nest of key backs why not try and pull the kick towards the boundary line to help assisting in locking it in.
Mate,it's a mere suggestion.
The major changes Lyon has made to his game plan this year are fairly obvious. Less pressure on the ball carrier, a greater propensity to play on and move through the corridor. The problem with that attacking philosophy is that it requires a lot of skill. Despite the fact that we do have some extremely good players, we do not quite have the overall skill, pace and talent throughout the entire list that a team like the Hawks does. That makes the type of game we are trying to play fairly dangerous. When we hit targets it is wonderful, when we don't we're turning the ball over in extremely dangerous areas.
So I think there is merit to the argument that some of the blame can be absolved from Ross in this respect. Our recent records with 1st round draft picks speaks to that.
The only way you eradicate skill errors is to drop players. Do you think they actually don't have skill sessions? The stuff we saw on the weekend no amount of coaching is going to fix, our turnovers must have cost 5 goals. He was just as evasive on pr. sounds like he doesn't have an idea to turn it around imo. Kept blaming the skill errors. I thought that was the coaches job to sort that out, it's getting a bit late by now.
When Taberner form tapered it wasn't working and he was dropped. But the main reason it was working is because Pavlich was partnering him as a genuine Key Forward. Pearce and Taberner can reduce the focus on Pavlich, but as the main targets they are deficient. They need time to develop.Well I think it is not working at the moment with only one KPF and it was working earlier in the year with Tabs in playing second KPF so why not?
WOW! Have you finally admitted that Taberner is shit?Pav was injured ,That is not a complicated concept .Who do you suggest to replace Pav and if you say Tabs you've got rocks in your head.

This is an amazing day.
