Thats a lot of bullshit.

Friday night shows absolutely nothing with regards to how Adelaide and Port Adelaide's season will go.
We beat them reasonably comfortably in a trial at Mt Barker at this time last year from memory

I haven't done a deep dive to check correlation but last season's was (or happened to be) indicative.

Anyone here from such a notoriously loving youth board, think there is a world where ROB could still play round 1 if Mcandrew is fit and healthy?
Barring injury, McAndrew will play round 1.

But unlikely he gets through the full season, so ROB likely to play more AFL games.

Should know more next week. If they take McAndew and T Murray to Perth, it's likely they are both locked in for round 1.

For us it shows that Soligo has a way to go and I reckon him at his best is important for our midfield and performance. For them, it suggests that JHF might be a risk. Outside of that, it is absolutely meaningless.

So you got not clues as to our new #1 ruckman?

Or who our possible wingmen for round 1?

Or Rachele looks likely to play more midfield this season?

Or Thilthorpe looks like being a dominant force?

Or Port still don’t have the list quality to finish top 8... & 9th or 10th looks like their best chance?

Have you watched the game?

Sigh.... now you're making up stuff.

Maybe online forums arent for you. No one EVER said Hipwood rucks more than Tex Walker.... no one.

Apart from you. Here is your direct quote (and a link to the page for context).

Says the bloke listing Hipwood as a ruck option for Brisbane.
He's rucked a whole hap more than Tex, so has Sam Day for that matter.

I have already posted that you get an idea about who’s heading towards a spot in the 23 and where they might be playing. The context of “meaningless” was in response to AFC98 posting about our seasons fortunes. It’s meaningless in the context of whether we or they are going to have a good season or not.

And my money is still on ROB playing against Freo and then round 1. And TT kicking 5 in a trial hasn’t moved the needle in terms of me thinking he’s going to be a dominant force.

It’s in Stretch’s hands

Nicks runs with the theory possession is nine tenths of the law

If Stretch starts the season - he needs to keep his spot through performance

Last year's preseason game against Port we also won easily & was a reflection of our relative positions.

Given the number of outs from both sides, it showed we have far better depth.

When we have had poor preseason results, it has usually translated into the full season.

Imo, we have seen enough that there are no excuses for missing the finals... & Port at best could sneak into the lower part of the top 10, as they lack quality all over the ground.

Preseason is no guarantee of the season, but can often get an indication.

Ps. I'm not a betting person, but McAndrew round 1 for me.

We beat Port by a goal or so in the first showdown. And were lucky to do so, they were all over us in the last quarter but kicked terribly. An easy trial win wasn’t much of an indication to that.

And why did they get near us ??

We tried unsuccessfully to close the game down with 15 minutes to go, for whatever reason

We were significantly better than Port last season. Suggesting otherwise is crazy talk!

The "Corn-Baller" doesn't have the Crows forward line in his Top 5. He's in the gun!

All depends on the criteria.

1) Is it on paper a six man forward line taking into account all six players
2) Who is classed as a forward. If guys like the Bont and Heeney are included for their respective clubs then we probably aren't. Do we count Rankine and even Dawson in our six?

For us guys like ANB, Rachele and Keys didn't have great years for various reasons. They had their moments. Tex and Fog were good at times but no where near the best forwards in the league

Interesting. Anything that can show when this started?

Considering how sensitive this board is right now - just want a disclaimer. I am not trying to prove anything. I am not disputing anything. I am 100% curious about this groin injury that Soligo had in 2025 and has brought into 2026.

Happy to get that help.

If you can just be truthful about the Hipwood ruck situation. I mean it's there that you said it. It's there that you said nobody would ever say what you directly said.

You claimed I edited posts. Can we just get to the bottom of this? Just need some clarification old mate.

Maybe more truth, less gaslighting. Much appreciated.

Cromulant - You keep laughing. Genuinely would love an adult answer. Happy to be proven wrong.

Did you not say that Hipwood rucked more than Tex (and Sam Day too?!?!?!).

What did I edit.

Unlikely, but certainly possible.

A bad trial game from McAndrews and that door is smashed open for ROB. Seeing this isn't an elite talent who is challenging the incumbent.

It should have been an easy 5 goals win, we went to bombing down the line in kick outs half way through the 4th quarter every time they kicked a behind (similar to the 4th quarter last week). Played 15 minutes to win the game.
