Happy to ride Grundy, his poor games are solid games from every other ruck option. When he fires no one else comes close.

Gibbons, Atkins and Constable on the bench. Not a bad start that with Grundy the only disappointment, but I as said before, he scored the exact same amount in the first game last year. Then didn't go under 110 until Round 12.

9/942 (treloar captain)...crisp and Grundy 60 less combined than expected hurts. Still have 3 rookies and linc McCarthy to come, so only downhill from here. Constable on the bench a killer. Will now have cop Scott or butters 50. I’ll let you know who I decide to play so you can all play the other one.

The "pre-Newman" restructure I made yesterday meant I fielded Constable who was going to be otherwise benched in my original structure so was pretty fortunate there. Treloarsome was also a nice tick to get the weekend started.

Although I have Grundy in RDT I'm not exactly broken up he struggled as I didn't run with him in either AF or SC. So it would be kind of nice if that price tag takes a tumble in the coming weeks. It's funny what running multiple fantasy sides does to your line of thinking.

No idea how we're travelling as we're 4/331, but the four that we played are probably 4 of the most commonly picked players in the comp; Walsh, Clark, Danger and Dusty. We don't have Grundy, but I'm not sure that's a good thing anyway. Last night's score could easily have been a decent 100 if he was disciplined and snagged the two gimme goals.

i'm thinking Constable is good enough for M8 so i just did:
Cousins -> Bewley
Darcy -> Gawn

Bewley is now onfield so i can get the Constable 82 (emg)
new score is 762 from 8

we'll see how that goes

Interesting...why not play a rookie that’s going to play? Even if they score 50-60 only 25-30 points less than constable...bewley not even an emergency for the dockers so can’t see him playing anytime soon

Not sure, but I think he wants to use Bewley for looping every week. Given Fremantle play a lot of Sunday or Saturday games, it seems like a good move.

Looping anywhere else except the rucks is very very risky imo, midfield obviously the biggest risk due to 8 scoring spots to fill

I'd only chase points like that late in the season when more rookies won't be playing and you're looking for an advantage some where

So yeah, I agree with Brad

Need to downgrade cousins to a rookie and no idea who to pick...I’ve already got Walsh, constable, butters and gibbons. Scott from north I think had highest scoring potential but brad Scott is a disgrace with his young players...knowing him, Scott will be dropped for ahern next week

Agree, why stunt your cash generation in such a big way. There's still some very good options that haven't played yet. The only reason why you would think about loopholing a rookie was if you were off to a flyer and thought you were a huge chance of winning the weekly. You're compromising the rest of the year.

Wow can't believe Ahern wasn't named this week. Scott JS just took a hit I think. Why are you downgrading Cousins? I know Constable and Walsh went really well this week but they were always the best scoring mid rookies. I don't trust any other mid rookie to hit 60s consistently. Cousins will at least hit 75 and give you the odd 90+ score.

can see Scott being the LDU of last season. Play round 1 then be lucky to play 5 games.

Downgrading cousins so I can upgrade Milera to witherden or Whitfield. I have constable on the bench and will be happy to move him to M8 next week. I think witherden/ Whitfield and constable will score more points than cousins and Milera.

Yep

Last year I wish I had Lachie Fogarty, Guelfi and McInerney for example

Not taking those rookies were detrimental for different reasons

Scrimshaw or Duursma on field? Can't split them at all. Duursma JLT2 score was so inflated because of how many cheap marks there were all game. I'll probably decide on this up until the bounce and then watch Burgess outscore them both at D8.
