Just terrible last term, like the Adelaide game. We saw it a few times last year they get themselves back into a game and then once they hit the front go back to the style that had them behind in the first place. Oh well at least we were in it most of the game, better than the last few round 1's!

Deledio really let me down in this game not only for that crappy kick which turned the game but for his positioning in D. He was always in no man land either just marking space or be 40 metres from his oponent in a fast break.

All in all, im really happy we didn't get smashed at the same time as being dissapointed that we had such a horrible 4th quater when it was ther to be won.

3 behinds in the last quater says alot about the team, so angry yet happy that there is somewhat a showable improvement in the final score.

Ease up all the doomers, was a good effort the kids ran outif legs but had a fair dinkim crack ! IMO we have had to many miss huge portions of PRE season or not playing !

Extremely frustrating once again, I reckon following this team has aged me years .

I thought our debuts, apart from Houli were amazing, Jack is as good as ever, Newman was great in the D and Cotch shined in the 2nd half, was a much better performance than I expected (even if it was all in the 3rd quarter)

I (as much as I am not with the loss) am happy that they gave it a shot. I think we have some very very promising signs that we can be a very very good team in the near future

Shocking loss. We had a sniff of it but we conceded it at the end. Nevertheless, it was an excellent match. A lot of good signs by the new recruit.

As frustrated as I am we blew a game we could of won I think there are more positives than negatives to come out of it. The new kids were great! Helbig perhaps not quite up to standard yet but showed he will be good once hes had a few games into him. I was disappointed in our midfield, they are our best line and have the most experience but none of them played a 'good' overall game, however we know they can play better than that and do more often than not. Our forward line looks dangerous and Morton needs to stay there, we went too much to Jack once we got in front... just got to know if there is 3 players on him there has to be someone else available.

Not me.
We played one quarter of footy and still only fell 20 points short against a supposedly 'top four side' (cough cough - no chance).
Three debutantes all showed why they were chosen.
After the first half we could have been blown away by 80, but we weren't (although we played an ordinary side).
Onwards and upwards I reckon. Bring on the Saints.

Geez, one more snag around that 5-10 minute mark of the last quarter and we could of had that. We had a couple of opportunities, just couldn't land the blows. Our good is great, but our bad is really bad. Just need to keep going with the kids.

Congratulations to the BF whipping boys - White, Rance, McGuane and Nahas all threw themselves into the fray and played well.

We died in the ass in that last quarter but it was still a buzz that we were still in the game with minutes to go.

Jack is pretty much the best one on one player in the game - if we can just get it to him

Good effort tonight, just fell away in the last quarter. I have to say one thing though, put Deledio in the middle!!!! He is being wasted in defence.

Conca and Cotchin were impressive.

the game is there to be won and we dont even put a goal on the board in the last qtr when carlton were on the back foot...looked uncomfortable being in front and just forgot how to play. Impressive 3rd term though but you gotta believe u can win not just hope to win, got to believe in yourself boys.
