Oh really.
if all the blokes and coaching staff who have been bangin on about struggling to select a side cause of the quality. SO mr Bazzar if one player has a poor game he should be TECHNICALLY be dropped for a player like Vlas or Petterd who are iching to play.

so yeh really.. if we have this deph he should be dropped so he fights for his spot again

Being at the game and watching the video highlights one thing sticks out for me about that last quarter come back by Carltoon was the inability by the side to slow the contest down and make it harder for them to continue their run-ons...we just could not string a set of passes together to hold them up...to interrupt their momentum... that needs to be looked at...

as a Queenslander exiled to South Australia, its all for one and one for all chief. Now you just have to find someone to do the same thing for your club 20 other times a year

Can't you just do it. :hearts:

A few things from the game, apologies if already discussed, but Dusty's last 20 minutes was frightening. Thought he had a good night, but when the pressure was on, the lack of composure... wow. He was not alone, but he him kicking constantly blindly was woeful. He was headless.

Ellis was overawed, but he deserves another shot at it. He was by all reports, the model pre-season trainer and it wouldnt send a great message to turf after one game - and lets be honest, the pressure was massive for them all - particularly for a 2nd year player.

Tuck gets so much on this Board. Most disrespected player in a long time. Its concievable that he will be around for another 3 years, he needs more protection (l know thats his role for Cotch,Lids) but he will the kind of player winning us hard fought finals games over the next few years.

Lids is a ******* superstar. Will poll more brownlow votes this year than Cotch. Bookmark it.

Lids and Cotch to go one and two then? Nice.

I'd like to see us play some tempo footy and chip it around for 2 oe 3 minutes to slow the game down in that situation, work our way forward and hit somebody on the lead. Instead we play this frenetic bomb it forward style which only is going to work when the momentum is our way

so true. We played 'russian roulette' style in that last quarter. Really needed to slow it down, which they did a bit in the last 5 minutes thankfully, but really they need to slow things down and control the tempo if a team gets a run on of a few goals in a row.

Whoever thinks Ellis should be dropped after one reasonably poor performance, you're kidding yourselves.
He is a big part of our future and wasn't given the number 5 for no reason.
Will be a star for us in years to come.
Even Cotch had the odd quiet game in his second season.
A star is a very big call will be a good ordinary player, we are always to quick to up grade players numbers as i have stated is not in top 22 for mind , grimes straight in as for the capitano he was in the middle from the start with no preseasons under his belt .

I'd drop Ellis, to let him know what he gave us wasn't good enough and that we've got plenty of depth to replace him, it'd send a message to the whole team, if you serve up junk, you wont get a second chance in the 1's. Bring in Arnott.

All I'm saying is, we are very quick to knock a second year player after a bad game in Round 1.
He had a great pre-season and the club holds him in very high regard.
I'd say if he has another poor performance next week, then he should be dropped.
But not after 1 game.

Agreed, from what I know about Ellis there won't be many occasions in his career where he will have two bad games in a row

We spent all week talking about how hard it will be to match up on certain Carlton players and how they always smash us, then when we put Ellis in there we bag the shit out of him. Makes me wonder sometimes

Spot on jak, we need to learn to put a hand brake on the opposition when they are full of running...theres any number of things, extra man in defence, share the ball and hold it up....the blues really got off the chain and there wasn't a damned thing we could do

Hey All,

Well done on the win on Thursday, looking forward to seeing you guys in the finals! A mate of mine who is a huge richmond supporter came over for the game on Thursday so we decided to make a bit of a night out of it and designed these morph suits. The crowd was fantastic and it was good to see a lot of kids getting a laugh out of it and wanting photos with us. We had someone from the Richmond website or official blog (I had had plenty of beers at that stage) take photos and write some details down but I lost my phone that night so I'm not sure if anything will come of that

I have some photos from the MCG at home I'll post up later today but thought I'd post this pc for now and see how people liked them! Also to see if anyone saw us :)

and lets doff our hats to their version of Daniel Jackson with that Nick Dugong or whatever his name is...time and time again he repelled our attacks and immediately set us up with a better avenue from the one he repelled...and this is the team that was eyeing top 4? Bwahaahaahaaa...

Hey where are those imbecile tanker BF dudes, who were hitting the like button each time they read a post about how much better their list was and how we had no hope, back in the preview days..Bwahaaahaa...Hampson, Bootsma, Diugan??? Bwahaahaaahaaa......FFS, burn visy down and get rid of that foolish lets buy ourselves out of the shit hole mob...then you have their ex-criminal..sorry ex president that suggests visy is ideal for the boutique shit...all they need to do is build underground carparks...Bwahaaahaaaaahhhaaa...it has become a ****ing ridiculous club. All that remains now to seal the ****ing deal is for them to **** up under Mickey and game set match...all over red rover, board up the place..
