If you have Ablett you have him as captain unless he's not playing. That is the rule I'm going with for the rest of the year and it paid off this week as I was contemplating having Richo, Cox or Ablett as captain but went with Ablett.

Shaw vs. West Coast- Big risk, ball wont go down the back much. Still dominated WC though in the HA season with 176, but also struggled in Finals with a 38. BIG RISK

Cornes vs. Fremantle- Another Risk due to his hand. Still not 100% and could affect his scoring ability.

Dal Santo vs. Melbourne- HUGE chance for a big score. Has killed the Dees in the past. Add to the Dees inability to stop other sides and the fact that it is at the Dome, which NDS loves, equals a Big Score. Has scored 176 against them as well.

Mitchell vs. Footscray- Averaged 124 against the Dogs last year. Good form. Can be assured of a 100+ score from Mitch

Kornes vs. Fremantle- Will tag Palmer. And should dominate him enough to get lots of ball. The question is will he use it well. We know Kane can get 30 touches no problem, effectiveness hurts him though. Hopefully his Brother can inspire him. Hoping he can be played into form in this game. Averaged 110 against them last year..including a 146 in the last game of the season

Stevens vs. Geelong- Has to be considered. Good form, coming off a 132 against Freo. Smoky

Cox vs. Collingwood- Has a huge DT average against the Eagles, but seemed to struggle getting his SC scores up against them (129 DT/ 87 SC + 139/101) also has a 130. At the G on Friday night. Watch for rain. If its clear good chance for a big score..stay away if it rains

Brown vs. North- The question is who will take Browny...Petrie? I think the question is..How big will his score be. Been in great form since the HoF break, with scores of 131 and 132. This is the Browny we wan to see..kicking 5 goals..taking 15 marks and scoring 130+. Up at the Gabba as well..loves the Gabba. Last game up there against North he racked up 151. Also dominated them in 2005 with 191

Franklin vs. Footscray- Huge last 3 weeks.. 163, 131 and 103. Went 90 and 154 against thr Dogs last year. Can he string 4 good games together though?

Riewoldt vs. Melbourne- Hmmm... Is Roo fit enough to destroy the Dees? Struggled this week. But Melbourne vs Key Running forwards recently:

  • Buddy 103 and 139
  • Fev 116
  • Pav 139
  • Burton 178
Big scores there. Especially since the last 3 weeks have been Pav, Burton and Buddy. So atm they are leaking badly

Chapman vs. Carlton- New recruit this week. Hope he plays. Only a modest 101 average against the Blues however. Been in good form last 2 playign weeks.. 103 and 134.

My preferences in order:

  1. Brown
  2. Dal Santo
  3. Riewoldt
  4. Chapman
  5. Buddy

about 4-5 weeks ago i said im only going ablett or cox, but i think until cox's foot is healed i'll stick with ablett, theres a very low risk factor when going ablett as there is with key forwards.

plus the cats play the blues which could be a "take each other on" type of game in the midfield meaning plenty of possies
